I highly recommend Air Services of NM, Brad so informative an polite. His prices were the best in ABQ, and he doesn't believe in price gouging his customers. I will definitely be using this service again!!!

Brad Brown failed to pull a permit for the work at my moms house. My mom has been without gas because the Gas Company of New Mexico came and PULLED HER METER. Mr. Brown will not return their calls, respond to text messages or anything. He has basically left them without a resolution for more than 2 MONTHS!!! I would be hesitant to conduct business with Air Service of NM, LLC. My mom and her husband have had to cook outside and use space heaters now that it has gotten cold. Shame on you, Brad Brown. You should know better than to treat elderly people the way you have. You took their $1900 and left them without a vital service. My mom should not have to be outside cooking her family meals because of your dishonesty.

My refrigerated air unit stopped working on 7/6. Another company I called had an unexpected emergency and was unable to make an appointment. My SIL's AFR firefighter partner recommended Brad. First thing this morning (7/11), I called and spoke with Brad, the owner. He had availability this afternoon. Yay! Upon his prompt appointment time arrival, Brad introduced himself and was very polite and professional. He asked questions and listened to the issues. My dog, who is always leary of strangers, liked him right away. I knew beforehand that the unit was not originally installed to code which was a concern to me. He inspected everything inside the house, on the roof and the fuse box, explaining what he was checking and why and what he discovered. He had to do some rewiring, replace a capacitor and some other miscellaneous parts, recharged the unit and, at my request, did what need to be done to bring it up to code. He was totally prepared without even knowing this particular situation and had all the necessary parts to complete the job on this trip. After he got the unit up and running he tested the temp and air flow at vents and showed me the parts he replaced. Brad worked in 100° weather for two hours yet was pleasant and very thorough. The price was much less than I expected. Tonight I sit in a cool and comfortable home thanks to Brad. I am definitely a return customer and will recommend Air Service of NM to all my friends and anyone looking for prompt, professional and reasonably priced service!

Air Service of New mexico, Brad Brown (owner/operator), is undoubtedly amongst, if not, the best a/c company in our state, providing customers with cooling and warmth creature comforts, as he has for us. Since we first became aware of his company by way of our daughter's recommendation for the great service he provided at her home, we have been very pleased with his service in the years since passed. Most recently ours home's roofing was retiled. In the process, the old swamp cooler duct had to be recessed into the attic. Though the roofing company did a great job with installation of the new roofing tiles, I had concerns with regards to the duct segment not properly being cut off and sealed within the attic, and therefore leakage of cooling air and inefficiency, not to mention cost waste, would go unnoticed for too long. Sure enough, our home's a/c cooling did not work after the roof's tile installation. Within a few days Air Service of New Mexico, Brad Brown, was able to accomodate us with his response and resolution to our problem. Sure enough, the ductwork patch-up was not nearly adequate as left by the roofers, and a puncture (inadvertent by the roofers) was found on an a/c copper line. Not only did Brad find the problem, but he improved the resolution to the problem, and removed a wasteful segment of ductwork within our home's attic. Despite the heat of the month of August, Brad did not dissuade in crawling around our hot attic and persisted, thus solving our problem. Brad and his company have performed well in his work for us these years and done so wonderfully, so much so that we don't consider relying on any other a/c company for our needs unless he and his company disappeared from our state. He is worth waiting for.

Brad has been my "go to" guy for a couple years now. I highly recommend him! He has serviced both my AC and furnace and adjusted vents to get the most efficient air flow for my home. I trust him and will continue to rely on him!

Bryan showed before the scheduled time, mask ready. He was upbeat and informative. He answered all my questions and was knowledgeable about his trade. The cost was low and he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need. Bryan let me know about the maintenance policy which will be helpful in the spring. I would recommend this company to anyone who has an older wall heater. Thank you so much.

They provided the best AC service in the 14 yrs. in my home. My MBR has always been too hot to sleep comfortably. They adjusted the air flow so that it now cools much quicker and I can sleep more comfortably. I'm very happy with the result!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! In my opinion Air Service of New Mexico does sloppy work and more importantly their owner (not a random technician) is adversarial, unprofessional, and lacks integrity. Air Service of New Mexico replaced my first floor HVAC blower. When I turned on my furnace my first floor did not get any heat and smelled like burning rubber. I tried calling Air Service of New Mexico numerous times throughout the day (a Friday), but the company did not pick up or return my calls. I opted to call other HVAC service companies as the forecast called for high 30s/low 40s in my area at night as we were heading into a weekend, and we were hosting a downstairs guest and to avoid discomforting my 5-year-old, 2-year-old, and a month old baby were uncomfortable in the mornings. The other company diagnosed the issue and fixed the issue. In short, Air Service of New Mexico installed the blower wiring incorrectly, resulting in the blower not turning on when I turned on the heat, which resulted in super-heated air building up inside my furnace and causing the awful burning small when I turned on the heat - and yes, thankfully the furnace overheat sensor was working!) 11 October: I sent a friendly e-mail to Air Service of New Mexico with all relevant information requesting reimbursement, given that the service call was required because they installed the blower incorrectly. 16 October: I called and left a voice message politely asking the owner to check his e-mail and respond. 18 October: I called the company using my wife's cell phone and the owner picked up. In a progressively heated discussion the owner initially flat out refused to reimburse, then offered to reimburse half, then explicitly agreed to reimburse for the full amount and to send the check the following week. 1 November: I called to follow-up on the 18 October agreement. Call was not answered. 7 November: I called again to follow-up. Call was not answered. 7 November (later): I sent an e-mail demanding a response. Owner responded that they were only willing to reimburse for half the cost. I replied via e-mail that this was not the agreement out of the 18 October telephone call, and asked if he denied making that agreement. 9 November: I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB does not actively get involved in dispute resolution and thus the complaint did not result in closure. I very strongly advise avoiding this company. Please use Yelp's private messaging system if you want more information and eye-opening supporting documentation. I hope my review (and documentation, if requested) will help you as you decide which of ABQ's many HVAC companies to choose from.
Response from Air Service of NM, LLC
"Mr W. First off thank you for the previous 5 star reviews! You said yourself we do great work. The incident you speak of has 2 sides and you clearly only want to tell your side. BBB mediated the situation and found Air Service at no fault and found we offered a fair compromise to your situation. Check BBB website for more info. Therefore dismissing your false claims! In short Mr. W tried calling us a couple times on an October Friday. We were running a job all day in Placitas where cell service bad, NO VOICE MESSAGES WERE LEFT, mr w acknowledged that in our conversation. There was no way for us to know he needed emergency service."

Went to turn the heat on for the winter and nothing happened. Called Air Service and they came out to troubleshoot. It kept blowing fuses so they traced to back to the thermostat wire that had been nicked during our hot water heater install. They got it up and running no problem.

We decided to install a NEST learning thermostat and had some difficulty with the install so we hired Air Service of NM to take over. They had experience with the NEST thermostats so they were able to rectify the problem quickly. Professional and courteous which is a huge plus in my book. Definitely recommend them.

I hired Air Service to take a look at my swamp cooler and advise why it wan not functioning. While they fixed my belt tension, the tech neglected to tell me how filthy the tray was. When I went to take a look at the cooler myself, it was full of algae. The float valve was so corroded it snapped in half. It would have been nice to have been told these were issues at the time of service.
Response from Air Service of NM, LLC
"If the service was truly 1 star why did Josh personally call us back a couple months later to come fix his cooler again. I am sorry the tech didn't let you know about algae and dirty water tray he thougth that goes with out saying considering we were 3 months into cooling season. The float snapped in half when the customer decided to work on it. Josh had promised us an updated 5 star review after Matt went out and fixed his cooler again and gave him a discount for the "bad" service previously."
