He "cleaned-up" our computers and took care of all the problems we were experiencing. He went above and beyond to help us in our dire time of need. We would strongly recommend James and his company for computer service needs. We have now retained him on a service contract and are looking forward to working with him in the future."

"All in all the company did an good job. They were able to go out, and repair the problem promptly. I would use their services again. My one frustration was that they made it difficult to get an estimate. The woman in the office indicated that it would probably be cheaper to just have them go out and fix it. I offered to agree to a price limit and asked if they would send me something in writing that said they would stop if it was going to be over $300 so we could re-evaluate. She stated they did not have email or a fax and could send me nothing in writing. I thought this was unprofessional and sort of ridiculous. The price turned out to be $220 and the service was good. However, I found the lack of email or fax frustrating because it was for a property that I own where I am not in the same town. If they had charged me an outrageous price I might have had no legal recourse. I think it is just sort of a small town shop. However, they were prompt, they fixed the problem, and I thought the price was reasonable. They just want you to trust them without any kind of formal agreement. I did that only because I had seen good recommendations on Angie's List. I would use their service again based on their last performance. They did follow through with what we verbally agreed to."

"I have used Mr. Rooter several times over the past few years.  Once, I tried to do something to a pipe under a sink that I really shouldn't have messed with, and I ended up with a gushing leak from the pipe.  I ran around finding buckets and bowls to catch the water, towels to sop up all the water that ended up on the floor, and a phone book to find a plumber.  I randomly picked Mr. Rooter because it had a big add that said they took emergency calls.  I called, and was pretty upset, and a plumber was dispatched immediately.  He called me while on the way to my house to see if he could help me to turn off the water, but I was pretty useless.  He arrived quickly and stopped the gushing water quickly  and fixed the whole problem quickly.  I don't remember how much that cost, because I was just happy he came so fast.
I have also used Mr. Rooter to purchase a new water heater and thermostat.  The plumber was courteous, and as far as I can tell he did a good job, but there was some question about the accuracy of some information he provided about the water heater, which has been a problem.  I can't comment on how good the price was, because I didn't comparison shop.

There was not enough room to fit the filter between the humidifier and the unit so alternate plans were made. We were advised an additional 1 week's time would be required to order and install custom made grills and filters. The original week turned into 4 weeks and when installation finally occurred, the grates were not the correct size. Rather than wait an indeterminate time for the proper grates I agreed to the installation and will fix the resulting misfit myself. Workers were courteous and helpful.
