"I have been a builder for 38 years and used many plumbers. Randy’s plumbing service was top-notch. They were timely per our schedule. They passed inspections immediately. The work was done professionally and according to building codes. He got everything done in just a few days for the underground plumbing for prior to slab work and all the yard lines. Thank you Randy, I really appreciate you and your workers! I have hired Randy’s plumbing service to do underground plumbing, top out and finish plumbing for a new custom home, so the complete plumbing job."

"After I was unable to get a response from Route 66 Plumbing for warranty work, I went to Angie's List and found Wilson Water Works with good reviews.  I soon got a call back from Leland, and after he realized my situation, gave me other references for the quick service I needed.  The plumber I used fixed a leaking shutoff valve in the yard the next afternoon, and charged a very reasonable rate.

"On Monday 6/8/15 I had experienced a leak in my yard that required the City to shut off my water supply to my house.  I called Kevin and he was able to respond on Tuesday and took care of the leak right away.  I called several other Angie's List plumbers and a couple said that they could not respond for a couple of weeks!  That was unaccecptable since I needed a repair that day.  One plumber said that they would charge $200 just to locate the leak and provide an estimate.  Another company said that the pipes in the neighborhood were old and was making estimates over the phone without even coming to my home.  KSM's total bill came to $170 and was very reasonable.  I will definatly use KSM again and will recomend them to my family, friends and neighbors.

"Wright Flow saved me thousands of dollars when multiple local big time companies wanted to over charge me and wanted me to replace thee entire unit with a long time frame for fix. Wright Flow came in, analyzed and fixed the issue less than a couple of hours compared to days/weeks on top of a low cost compared to other companies. Wright Flow knows the job at hand and does so with integrity. I would recommend Wright Flow if need be for others seeking the best customer service and reliability out there."

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, usually you will need some kind of vapor barrier on the exterior walls when the framing is attached to concrete and masonry surfaces.

In nearly all cases, you are required to install a vapor barrier in your crawl space. However, local regulations will change based on the local climate and the crawl space's susceptibility to moisture. Even if a vapor barrier is not legally required, it is often a good idea to keep your crawl space dry.

You don’t always need to install a dehumidifier in your encapsulated crawl space, but it might be a good idea in certain instances. If you notice obvious signs of condensation, mold, or musty smells permeating from your crawl space, a dehumidifier can help. It’s ideal for homes in humid areas.

In a worst case scenario, structural damage like rust on metal beams, rotting wood, and swelling on doors and windows can signal moisture problems that would benefit from a dehumidifier.

Proper drainage is the only way to ensure that your crawl space stays dry. Depending on your property and the extent of your issue, you might need to consider a gutter system, a French drain, or sump pumps to avoid and handle water and moisture under your home. Dehumidifiers can also help to prevent moisture from accumulating if you have a high-humidity environment.

Periodic inspections and addressing drainage issues prevent further damage.
