"Hugo and his team were awesome i explained that we needed the yard cleaned and some trash hauled away to get the house ready to sell. They met and exceeded all my expectations they yard looks almost unrecognizable and our realator was thrilled with how it looked. Their service was quick and efficient. They hauled away all the trash and checked around to makes sure they got it all and sent me updates on anything they found that might be trash. Highly recommended A++++"

Lawns questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for small amounts of waste. Professional services handle larger volumes efficiently.

You have a few options to get rid of raked leaves, including bagging them and leaving them out for yard waste pickup. Even if you hire a professional for leaf removal, they can often bag the leaves and leave them for you to dispose of this way. You can also recycle and even donate yard waste. If you have a compost bin, your leaves will be ready to help your plants grow, reducing spring cleanup landscaping costs. Some companies will even accept donations of raked leaves to make compost, but you’ll need to transport them yourself.

It’s possible to go too far trimming your bushes or hedges. If you overdo it, you may kill the plant. Stick to trimming about a third of the branches on your bush each season to prevent over-cutting. If your hedge is overgrown and needs a heavy trim, avoid cutting off the main branches that make up the top of the bush.

If your dog always does their business in the yard, daily poop pick-up makes sense. The nitrogen in the poop can start making its way into the grass and surrounding soil quickly, a rain shower can send the waste into waterways, and less poop lying around means less chance of stepping on it accidentally.

Yes, you can absolutely make your own mulch, and there are a few ways to go about it. First, you can lay down pine needles or mulched leaves if you’re mulching in the fall. In the spring and summer, you can use mulched grass clippings. Alternatively, you can lay down a few layers of newspaper in your garden and gently wet the paper to keep it in place.
