"Jerry stripped and resealed a very old saltillo tile floor. He also took down the old 4 x 4 Mexican tile off the wall and installed new Mexican tile for the baseboard on the wall and around the bottom of a kiva fireplace. Everything looked beautiful after he completed the job. They were on time, friendly. professional and cleaned up when they were done. They definitely take pride in their work. I would highly recommend this company.

"Contractor keep appointment (even though there were 2 or 3 calls expressing confusion about time and day); installed the drywall and cleaned the area.   The drywall installation was not smooth and when textured looked amateurish at best.  Before I could paint I had to sand several areas and apply canned texture-not the most professional look but time was a factor.  the next time the wall is painted will require extensive prep work to make it look professional.
Good things: appointment keep; work was done as explained; no extra charges.
Not so good: Technician was not a drywall guy.

"I had just moved into my house within the past two months. The house was very clean (surface clean), but needed specific cleaning. For example: the trash compacter was dirty,  the walls were dusty, the microwave was dirty, there were cobwebs hanging in the corners and from the ceiling, the baseboards were dirty, etc. Upon arrival, I told the ladies that the house was very clean and that it didn't need standard cleaning - it only needed certain things cleaned and cleaned well. I pointed out the walls, the cobwebs, the trash compacter etc.
The ladies recleaned everything that was already clean (floors, bathrooms, dusting furniture etc). Granted they made everything a little shinier and a little cleaner. They only wiped out the trash compactor and microwave, they did not dust the walls, they did not dust the cobwebs, they missed a lot of the baseboard. Maybe they didn't understand as their first language was Spanish and I only speak English. Overall, it was disappointing as I was hoping to have specific things done, and they were not done.
The ladies did do a good job with the general cleaning, so I inquired about how much it would cost to reclean my house. The company manager quoted $45 per person per hour to clean the house. They though it would take two people three hours. So $270 per cleaning. This was too expensive.

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

In Albuquerque, unexpected land surveying costs can include additional research for unclear property boundaries, monument restoration fees, and charges for utility locates if underground lines are present. Properties near acequias or historic districts may require specialized mapping or coordination with the Albuquerque Historic Preservation Division. Always request a detailed estimate and discuss potential extra fees with your licensed surveyor before work begins.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, most residential land surveys are completed within one to four weeks, depending on property size, terrain, and the need for historical deed research. Projects near the Rio Grande or in older neighborhoods may require extra time due to complex boundary histories. The City of Albuquerque Planning Department recommends scheduling early, especially during peak seasons, to avoid delays related to permit processing or weather.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, land surveying projects often require a right-of-way permit from the City of Albuquerque Planning Department for any work impacting public property or streets. If your survey involves excavation or setting permanent markers, you may also need an excavation permit. For professional compliance, surveyors must be licensed by the New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors. Always verify requirements with these authorities before starting your project.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, homeowners sometimes overlook the need for a current survey before building or assume old fence lines are accurate boundaries. Failing to check for recorded easements or encroachments, especially in neighborhoods with irrigation ditches or shared driveways, can lead to disputes. According to the City of Albuquerque Planning Department, always hire a licensed surveyor and review all property records to avoid costly errors and ensure compliance with local regulations.

Helpful?

After a land survey in Albuquerque, it's wise to periodically check that survey monuments remain undisturbed, especially after construction or heavy rain. The New Mexico Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors advises homeowners to keep certified copies of all survey plats and legal descriptions. If you plan future improvements, consult your original surveyor to ensure property lines and easements remain accurate and up to date.
