Customers say: True professional

"Cool Breeze listened to what we wanted, helped us design the kitchen for maximum storage and ease of usage. They were prompt, cleaning up as they progressed. They also replaced counter tops in two bathrooms. We were very comfortable with them in our home. I would definitely recommend Cool Breeze to family and friends."

"I work for a construction cost data company and deal with a lot of contractors in my work. I've also renovated 6 homes and have had a lot of contractor experience there as well. I can truly AC&R are simply the best contractors I have ever worked with. I can be a very hard customer to please and so I got 5 estimates on removing a package unit (AC/Heat) from my backyard and putting a new furnace in my crawl space. One guy who came to estimate the job said "Some jobs you walk away from. I'm running away from this job!" Seriously. I actually had Gabe and Dustin from AC&R to my house twice just to make sure they hadn't missed anything on the original quote. They were extremely professional, courteous and helpful in their suggestions. They weren't the cheapest estimate, but the weren't even close to the highest and they just seemed to be very honest so we hired them. They came back with an installation supervisor the day before the scheduled install and went over everything in detail. Then the best part came - our installers Tony and Benny spent three full days dismantling my old system and installing the new one. They too were very professional, neat, courteous and super nice to my dog. Two electricians also spent half a day here on the third day and all of them stuck around for the startup and testing. The Rheem furnace they installed is working great and is super quiet. I could not be happier. Do not hesitate for a second to call AC&R!"

Energy Efficiency Auditing questions, answered by experts

To make an energy efficiency audit safer for your family in Albuquerque, use HEPA air filtration to manage high dust levels. Schedule outdoor work in the early morning to avoid intense UV exposure. For blower door tests, secure the area to keep children and pets away from pressure changes. Explain any equipment noise beforehand and ensure pets have a quiet space to relax.

Helpful?

Before an energy efficiency audit in Albuquerque, clean your HVAC filters to handle local dust and allergens, and clear debris from outdoor units after wind storms. Ensure all windows and doors close properly for accurate blower door testing. Professionals should also regularly calibrate their equipment for the high altitude and dry climate to ensure precise readings and reliable results for your home.

Helpful?

A common mistake during energy efficiency auditing in Albuquerque is underestimating summer cooling needs and intense solar heat gain from south-facing windows. Homeowners also overlook how the city's high altitude affects HVAC performance. Scheduling tests during the windy season from March to May can skew results, so it's best to plan your audit for a calmer time of year.

Helpful?

For effective energy efficiency auditing decisions in NM, provide your home's construction type, such as adobe or stucco, and whether you have a flat or pitched roof. Details on your PNM rate schedule and 12 months of utility bills are critical. Your property's specific elevation and microclimate—whether in the foothills or valley—also significantly influence HVAC sizing and performance recommendations for your home.

Helpful?

In Albuquerque, small issues can escalate quickly. Minor stucco cracks may signal structural movement, while small bubbles on a flat roof can indicate impending failure. Because of the high altitude, even slight combustion appliance backdrafting is a serious red flag for carbon monoxide risks. Also, UV damage from over 300 sunny days a year can accelerate window seal failure, leading to major air leaks.
