I dont know how can you have 4.6 average review when everything I see here is exactly what I experience. I have been a costumer with Sunpro for a longtime and recently needed a repair due to leak in my roof under the solar panels. Seems that since it was sold to ADT solar this company wants to take the business to the ground . This has been a nightmare from the beginning just to remove and put panels back and of course they dont want to be responsible for their mistakes and damage. In this company the left doesnt know what the right is doing . When you complain they avoid the issues and transfer to someone else to take over. They hide ther heads in the sand to avoid the embarrasment they are. I can go and on with the details of their stupidity as the people they hire dont know what they are doing . Even the supervisors are clueless on what their employees do . If you do business with this company. I am sure you will be here writing like me

As I sit in my house, in March, without heat, hot water, or a working kitchen and only have power to my internet and refrigerator because I ran extension cords, I immensely regret opting to work with this company. It has been a nightmare, lacking communication, miscommunication, and non-existent customer service. It's impossible to reach someone, if you call, any time of the day or week it tells you everyone is too busy and to leave a message. Even if you leave a message in their emergency voicemail you won't get a callback. I reported an issue with our power after the last person was here on 5 March. I had to call someone on 6 March to get a response and they put a ticket in. I spent the week trying to find out when someone would be out and was told later in the week, our advocate had been reaching out to operations all week without any luck. Then sometime early Saturday, it died entirely, and of course, no one is answering the customer service line or returned any calls. I am not looking forward to a couple freezing cold nights as the weather dips to the low 30s. But my first calls Monday morning will be to the state AG and licensing offices. How these people can operate with such callous disregard for their customers is criminal.

We had the most terrible experience with ADT Solar! Awful customer service, communication, management and quality. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy! Over 7 months to get the system up and working! Workers cut my power, cable and irrigation! They even urinated on my property in broad daylight! I endured at least 24 different issues with this company. They caused my great stress. Here are the latest mistakes made by Sunpro/ADT Solar on my solar installation as of 9/2122: A) Half, or 24 of 48 of my solar panels are not working on a brand new install That is pathetic! B) your company has known that half of the panels are not working on a brand new system that was promised to be working in March! You are telling me that the panels won’t be fixed until the end of this month! That is certainly not being responsive to a customer that has had all these issues getting solar panels working! 7 months! Really! C)Noor, an account manager supervisors assigned to my case, told me that she would see that the solar permit was submitted to my power company. I waited 3 days and it still had not been submitted, so I submitted it myself. Another promise made and broken from your poor customer service personnel. D)Vince said he would take over and work with me to resolve the many issues on my project. I sent him pictures of the latest broken pipe issue on the 7th Sept and asked him to contact me but he never did! Ghosting customers is never good policy. E) As stated above, our gardener just noticed massive water pipe breakage due to your company’s negligence. Half, 24 of 48 solar panels are not working on this brand new install. I needed to pay someone to be there to supervise the repair. Really?! This company’s crew can’t even install the solar panels correctly? So to sum up, I have at least 24 issues with my solar installation. The company has sent me 2 gift cards worth 500 each. Those do not even begin to make up for all the anxiety, stress, time and effort I have experienced to to this botched solar installation. 1) I signed the contact in January ‘22. It was supposed to be installed on roof in March. You folks came out three separate days to try to install it. We had to change our schedules 3 different days only to be told that they could not do a roof install. 2) I was very upset and was put in touch with Neal. We decided to do a ground install. He was kind enough to tell us for all our trouble and delay that he would charge me the roof price for a ground install. Neal personally came out to tell me where the install would happen so I could move any shrubs in the way and call to have all utilities marked, which I did. I paid around $35,000 to you in March. The ground install could not happen for two months so I lost two months interest on that money. 3) We had to leave for Vermont when the ground install was scheduled so had to pay someone to be at house during install. I was told install would be 1 to 2 days. It took over a week, so that’s 5 days I had to pay a worker to babysit a job that was supposed to be finished in March! 4) ADT’s crew first cut the power line to our house, leaving the house hot for about 4 hours. Then they cut the Xfinity line leaving our house unprotected by alarm and cameras when no one was there! The workers said both were not marked. I was not there so don’t know what the truth is. I do know One of the workers told us Sunpro would take care of getting Xfinity out to fix it ASAP. Well, that did not happen! 24 hours passed before I called Xfinity myself. Brian, the supervisor, also called around the same time and a crew was dispatched but this company really needs to communicate clearly with the customer and this repeatedly has not happened. 5) We went out to speak with one of the workers on a Friday in May and saw him peeing on our property! C’mon! Where is this company’s professionalism???! 6) There was no supervisor the whole time M-F the crew was working. Again, not professional. Who knows what else that crew could have been doing on my property. 7) The crew destroyed one of my shrubs and tore up my grass without my permission. 8) Brian and the crew told us on a on Wednesday that they did not have the parts to finish the job and did not know when they would arrive. Seriously! What professional company tells a customer their project is all ready to be completed in 1 to 2 days as Spencer told me and then does not have the parts to complete the job!! Or not know when the parts will be in? 9)Brian, the supervisor told us the crew would be working today, Memorial Day so I paid a worker double to come in. But they did not show up. Again, total lack of accurate communication with client and very unprofessional. 10) Sunpro/ADT told me the solar would be up and running in March, so that is 5 months of higher electric bills because of the company’s delays. The concrete is uneven, unsafe and full of holes. It needs to be redone and have all the chunks left all over my property removed. Again, where is the supervision and professionalism of this company? They did repair it eventually, but really? 12) Noor, who is supposed to be dealing with my complaints as a customer seems put out that I am bringing them to her attention. She says I have “been bashing” her. I don’t need that from a person whose job is to resolve customer complaints. None of this is personal. I just want a working solar system and to be fairly compensated for all the unprofessional screw ups, delays and lack of communication that has been repeatedly happening since March! 13)All of this has caused great stress on me, my spouse and our relationship. In short, this job has been botched so many times in so many ways! What a horrendous experience with this company!

This has been the worst experience I've had with any company. I've given this company $95K and I have no received anything in return! They should not be in the solar business, or anywhere close to customers. They lack technical competence to do this job and will deceive, avoid, and delay! Move on, please! We signed a contract with ADT (SunPro) Solar four months ago and the collective team still cannot figure out the electrical wiring diagram that is safe and to code for our home configuration. The panels were installed months ago and the system failed inspection by the county because the engineering diagram did not match the wiring by the electricians. Initially the wiring was incorrect which my husband, who is not an electrician, noticed and brought to their attention, but ADT did not update the engineering diagrams and sent the inspector anyway. After the failed inspection, and upon "escalation," it took five weeks to make a revision on the engineering diagram and it is still wrong! It doesn't properly account for our whole house generator and as depicted does not match the wiring that they changed in the house weeks ago. Despite this fact, they're planning on sending out the county inspector again next week which won't go well, but we're inclined to let it go through for additional documentation of this painful process. The bottom line here is you're probably better off doing the research yourself and contracting out more reputable electricians and installers on your own than going with this company. You'll pay a premium if you do, and in the end, it will not be hands off at all. These are good people that mean well but they're overwhelmed with the demand and their crews lack experience, especially if your home configuration is more complicated than a single meter and breaker box. You'll have to pay for your system up front once they put the panels on the roof or in the ground, and there is no guarantee on how long it will take, if ever, to get the system actually producing power. They will tell you that they'll make the loan payments if the system does not become operational but we haven't experienced that yet. They'll also tell you a lot of other things, like you can call their CEO, they are the best in the business, their account manager will monitor and communicate with you throughout the process, and much more. Just ignore them and move on. There are many better options. Join a Facebook forum to read the good stories and get multiple quotes on the companies that actually execute! AVOID ADT!

It is unfortunate to want to do solar and in the end be advocate to not get solar in Florida residential, your neighbors are horrified, and your stuck with a 20 year loan. Real ROI is like 23 years don't be fooled. FYI Solar in general is bad at residential level and new Florida net metering makes it useless. Get a Generator and Gas tank for backup power. Below is apparently common, educate yourself before signing anything. Company with beautiful brochures showed misleading advertising graphs (KW cost, national inflation), incorrect pricing parts, $3000 to cancel on 4th day if you do sign and figure out nothing matched salesman statements. SunPro came out to install, told twice this looks wrong by installer before they even started. 8+ trips to get system working over 6 months, then roof leaks. They use their own employees however they are untrained no idea what's going on. Brand new roof had leaking roof, inside with buckets and drywall falling, tracking tar and dirt in house, 3 more trips trying to caulk holes, replaced roof separate company, still left with $14K loan and partial solar. Apparently this is normal*, several company employees said they had 3 more problem appointments to fix just that day, not alone. Employees completely agreed it was a scam :/ They charged a premium for the most horrible service you could receive. No one at company knew what the other was doing, every person coming out had some new person with them training, technician shows up and would ask what they were there for. Took 2 months for them to even notice the solar was completely offline during roof repair. Loan for 8 panels (2.9KW) was 14K, saves me $42 in electric bill and pay $52 on my loan. Something they wont say, your insurance will cost more and they don't cover it under hurricane deductible.

This is the story I did not want to have to write. Sunpro first came to me a year ago, a GREAT salesman, very friendly, sincere and thorough. I made decision to "go Sunpro" in February, so he put the wheels in motion. Everything began with no problem, until we were 3 months into the process and somehow it all fell apart. I was told it was would be "late summer" and I would be up and going. I define late summer as September. It is now November and we are no where near "up and going". I was scheduled for the electrical installation the AM of August13. Noon that day came around and I had heard from NO ONE. I had an appt, so I left home. Shortly after noon that day, I rec'd a call from a rep telling me the crew that was coming to do the work was running behind, they were in AR and headed my way, which was approximatlely an hour and a half drive. I advisedher that I had left because of the appointmenti had, in which I had made them aware of several weeks prior to this event. I told her I would be back o my house in 2 hours. She advised me, since I had already left, they would have to reschedule. That was odd, if it would take them an hour and a half to get there and I would be back in 2, why could they not spend that 30 minutes getting set up?? This rep was not exactly friendly, either. So the electrical install was rescheduled to the AM of OCTOBER 18. UGH, another 2 months of waiting. So on October 16 I got a call from a rep telling me they would need to reschedule this again because someone did not do their job and the existing water, sewer, phone lines and such had not been identified and marked. So, it was pushed back to Oct 19th. I was told they would be there around 8 AM, so I am ready for them. Guess what? 11:20 and no show! Finallly around noon I got a call from one of the men on the electric install job saying they "were still in Arkansas, about an hour and 15 min away". So finally about 1:30, they are working on the electrical installation. 1 hour into this process the lead man comes and tells me there is no way this job can be completed that day because of the late start but they would stay as late as they could, which was 5:30 when they left. I asked when someone would be back to complete the work, not his fault, but of course, he didn't know. I understand the workers do not do the scheduling. But communication is a HUGE issue with this company. The work to be done required tearing up asphalt from my driveway. This has become a HUGE issue too. I understood this would need to be done in order for this project to work, they assured me several times over they would repair my driveway and "it would look as if i never happened" when it was complete. Well, not one bit of that has come to fuition, eith. My yard and my driveway are still torn up, the electrical part of this project is not completed, I have not heard from ANYONE since the day this happened, the salesman has since left the company and here I sit wondering if this will ever be made right. Why is it that, as a consumer, you cannot be nice to people? It seems, that if you are nice and understanding about some things in the beginning that is a license for them to run over you! This company certainly took advantage of my niceness and now my niceness is gone and I don't like that! And, not one time have I rec'd communication from the same "account manager" twice. Throughout this process I have had at least 8, that I can account for, those are ones I have gotten texts from Identifying themselves as "account managers" or "helpers". Something is severly wrong! I have photos I would submit, but there doesn't seem to be the option here.

First of all, we would not choose to install solar if we had it to do over again. If we had been informed, we would have avoided getting sucked into the sales pitch we were given about selling power back to the electric company. Sunpro sales failed to inform us of the paltry pay-back the utility would give us for the power we now generate on their behalf. Basically, the electric company charges thirty times more for power than they pay us for our meter "running backwards". Oh how the solar industry loves to use that term, but what it means at the end of the day is that we are paying on a large loan to generate power for them. Nor were we informed that the loan we took out for solar would be considered by most banks a 2nd mortgage on our property. We had endless problems with Sunpro and would NOT recommend this company to anyone. From the time we signed a contract it took TEN months to get hooked up to the grid! Along the way we had regular and innumerable problems with Sunpro dropping the ball on us, to the point of ridiculousness. We are thoroughly disgusted at this point, especially because the state inspector that finally showed up informed us that we had just that day appeared on the state docket — after being told by SunPro that they had submitted the inspection request weeks prior. We kept hearing things from the SunPro office that turned out to be false. There were multiple problems with the administrative offices of this company — while we feel that the ground crews did a good job when they were here for installation work. Here is the list of issues we've had with this company — 1 - The salesman did not convey the complexity of our installation — either to us (ahead of signing) or to the SunPro staff so that they could assess the installation ahead of time. This resulted in confusion and delays, and a less than optimal execution vis a vis protecting our trees. 2 - There were multiple miscommunications on SunPro's part that resulted in project delays. We often felt that it was only through our own diligence that information got conveyed between involved entities, to wit: SunPro's various teams, our electric company, and government offices. 3 - Our installation was supposedly scheduled, and we were ready and waiting at home for the crew... which never showed up. In following up, we learned that our "account manager" had spaced it out. This resulted in another two weeks' delay. 4 - On a regular basis we were told we would receive call-backs from SunPro staff to update us on status and in answer to our questions. Frequently we did not receive promised phone calls from the seven different "account managers" that were assigned to us (including at least one supervisor). We found it surprising and confusing that we kept hearing, "I'm your new account manager." This shuffling between staff members demonstrably contributed to delays and misinformation. We ultimately found out that we'd been lied to about inspection scheduling, resulting in six more weeks delay. While it is still unclear which SunPro entity was responsible for the misinformation we received, we definitely lost trust in the company's word. 5 - The incompetence we've suffered at the hands of this company has also cost us in much wasted personal time, and stress. If it weren't for our time-consumptive monitoring of the situation and our constant follow-through, who knows how much longer the delays would have been??? 6 - The installation crew was not provided with either training or the type of equipment that could have prevented damage to tree roots on our property — trees that are very important in terms of both property value and environmental benefits in a desert climate. We cannot recommend Sunpro Solar. While we appreciated the two installation crews who did a good job, the administrative-level problems were continuous and daunting, up to the very end. Our impression is that this company jumped into the home solar market without having sufficient infrastructure in place to support its customers. As is so often the case, accountability to the consumer has been sacrificed on the altar of company profits.

I have been having a terrible experience with this company. Nothing but foot dragging from the day we signed the contract. It's been over a month since they installed the system. It failed inspections and despite simple fixes they still haven't finished the job to get it turned on.

Rep. checked entire system. He found several wires not connected properly and fixed this. He also made recommendations regarding the attachment of the panels to the rood that would provide more stability and leakproofing. The representative appeared to know what he was doing - much better than others, including the representative who was engaged by the roofer (who replaced our rood due to hail damage) to disconnect/connect the panels.

Researched solar energy and Sunpro Solar and found both to be beneficial in reducing energy costs and decided to go with this company. Energy costs were dropping until entering the months of June and July with extremely hot and sunny LA days. Received the bill for usage for July usage in August and it totaled more than before the panels were installed. Called the Sunpro company, talked to Shannon Brewer, he requested copies of Entergy bills. I faxed copies of last 3 months of Entergy bills, I continually explained that something must be wrong with the system for the bill to be higher than before panels were installed because nothing had changed in our pattern of usage. His response was to compare last year's usage at this time to this year's energy usage, and how it had dropped. My question then became if we have dropped energy usage why am I paying more? We went round and round about energy usages without my question being addressed, Why is my bill more now than before the panels were installed without him providing an answer? All we wanted was a qualified tech to come out and check the system, if working correctly on sunny days the panel SHOULD produce energy. In their mission statement, it states that they work for customer satisfaction, "providing the best warranty service AFTER installation". I monitored the system and supplied Shannon with video and picture proof of my concerns. An example, On 8-20-16, I monitored the system. Panels came on at 8:10 a.m. despite sunshine starting from 7:30 a.m., and the panels worked until 12:50 p.m and then shut off despite sunshine remaining until 3:00 P.M. when it started to rain. Even the company's own website showed the panels underproducing when they were working and stopped the times I mentioned. I have videos and pictures to prove this. Even after supplying video and pictures to Shannon showing him what I precieved to be the problem. On 8-21-16 at 9:00 A.M. Panels shut off in broad daylight when sun is shinning bright. His response he was willing to come out by Friday and this now Sunday when I am writing this review. This is from the companies own website--If you purchase a solar system, you won't need to be the "middleman" between the production and installation companies and will never have to physically return a product for a warranty claim to be processed. If filing a claim is required, the dedicated service department at SUNPRO will arrange all contacts with the applicable manufacturer for repairs or replacement at no additional cost. With a SUNPRO warranty, you don't have to worry about a thing. Clearly this is not the case with us.

My experience with this company from the 1st phone call to the installation to the service after the job was
completed has been great. They did a good job of communicating with us along the way and letting us know what to expect.
Our salesperson was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were very impressed that the owner of the company sent us a card with his contact information and encouraged us to call him if we had any questions or concerns. The installation crew showed up on time and finished the entire job in one day. They kept things neat and did a good job of answering my 1,000 questions I had
for them during the installation. A special thanks to Mr. Trey, who went out of his way during the installation of the solar panels to make me feel comfortable. When I called him with questions about how the waterproofing worked, he stopped the entire job and brought me up on the roof to show me how the special roof brackets keep things from leaking.  We have just received our first electric bill and it was significantly lower than the same bill last year. We would recommend this company.
