"My husband and I contacted AZR Landscape & Construction to get an estimate for a concrete patio in our backyard. Dmitri arrived promptly for the appointment and gave us a competitive quote. We decided to move forward with AZR, largely due to the professionalism, and responsiveness we experienced."

Customers say: True professional

"Cocona Concrete was excellent. I needed to replace the entire driveway, apron and sidewalk-- and wanted to do it quickly before the winter cold arrives. Cocona did an excellent job. Communication was excellent, they were extremely prompt -- on-time for every appointment, and did great work. They also came up with good solutions for one problematic area, which none of the other vendors that i receive quotes from provided. Pricing was very fair and reasonable, and no surprises. Overall, they were great and I would use them again anytime!!"

"More than satisfied - excellent work demolishing and removing a cinder block wall. The area was completely cleaned up afterwards, all debris was collected and removed. The immediate, as well as surrounding area, was cleared and leveled just to add a nice unexpected finish. Very happy with the work, communication, and extra effort by Miguel resulting in a finished job that was better than I expected. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again!!! Thanks for a job well done!"

"I hired Bio-One Albuquerque while I was in a rehab center recovering from a serious injury. After years of neglect, my house needed extreme cleaning so that it was safe for me to move back home even while I was still somewhat impaired and recovering. The place was too far gone for regular maid services. It is hard to trust people in your home sight unseen, but the minute I talked to Luis on the phone, I knew I could trust them implicitly. Everyone I dealt with was kind, non-judgmental, helpful and considerate. They also subcontracted a plumber for much-needed basic repairs which included fixing an ongoing leak, and Bio-One supervised the work. Overall, they created a safe, clean, livable space for me to return home to. They went above and beyond to take care of my needs beyond the signed contract. For example, they removed a defunct refrigerator and re-arranged my garage to make room to store my car indoors. Storing the car inside was their idea; they thought that would be safer for the car in my weeks of absence. Luis offered to get both items done at no extra cost. When I called them a few days after my return home to ask where my broom and dustpan were, they stopped by that same morning to give me a new broom and dustpan they had just purchased! Another example of above and beyond, and caring about customer outcome. I appreciated their kindness very much. I did not even know there were companies to do this kind of what they call **extreme cleaning** of bad spaces and Bio-One was the right company to call. They will respond to difficult situations with real caring and insight. They are trustworthy and will do things right. They are a true help and will solve difficult situations for their clients."

Concrete Disposal questions, answered by experts

The most common garbage disposal size in the U.S. is 1/2 horsepower. This size is ideal for households with three or fewer people or those that don't produce much food waste. Although 1/2 horsepower can't handle the typical food waste load for a household of four (which is about 250 pounds of food waste annually) as effectively as 3/4 horsepower, it remains the most common size of garbage disposal on the market.

Garbage disposals are durable appliances that usually last at least eight years as long as you clean and maintain them. It’s relatively rare for a garbage disposal to break on its own, as most malfunctions happen due to user errors, like overstuffing the grinding compartment or damaging the blades by trying to dispose of metal or bone. Eventually, cracks or leaks could develop in the unit, which requires a full replacement.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.

These appliances certainly increase the number of things allowed down the drain, but they’re not foolproof. There are several items you shouldn’t put in your garbage disposal, according to manufacturers and technicians. Don’t put coffee grounds down the drain. The same goes for eggshells, potato peels, hard foods, onion skins, and any dry, expandable food. Most importantly, never put grease or oils down the drain.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.
