"Greg was amazing. We bought a vacation house and live 9 hours away. We had a very long list of things that needed to be done. We gave Greg the key to the house and he worked nonstop for weeks. Every day he would send pictures of the work he had done. He knocked out an entire list before we got there and then worked with me for days getting moved in. I honestly could not have done it without him. I am so grateful we found someone honest who never said he couldn't do something I needed done and he did a great job. HIGHLY recommend him and will be using him for many more projects now and in the future."

"PURCHASED FROM A TUFF SHED DEALER in ABQ, NM. So many exposed nails on inside from a ‘missed the stud scenario’. There is one area where the screw attaching the outside vertical component of the shed to the floor of the shed was not screwed in completely, an 1/4” space existed between the side wall and the floor. Every nail/ screw in the manufacture of the building is not redundant. This represents a compromise in the structural integrity of the Tuff Shed. These are the company’s policies. EXCELLENCE POLICY: Taking all necessary steps to create the best products and supply the best services. INTEGRITY POLICY: Living up to our promises, commitments and responsibilities. Both of their policies were not fulfilled in construction of my shed!!"

"This is an incredible family owned and operated business. Their roofing product and solution set is top notch, and for a flat roof, there really is no other care-free option. They are extremely professional, clean, efficient and they care beyond belief. They go out of there way to protect you, your house and everything in the immediate area. They are friendly and easy to work with, and just a great group of people. I had them replace a roof on a house that I sold, and immediately asked them to help out on a new purchase. I have experience with structured foam and spray foam applications, and for our New Mexico location and climate, this is the very best solution for your roof. I am quite happy and satisfied, and you will be as well."

I am a 25 year veteran of all types of construction. I spent 2 of these years in Arizona working, learning, and studying structural design of residential construction. I have extensive experience in insulation, drywall, painting, and remodeling. I look forward to my future as quality, construction expert.

"Even in these crazy times, Ryan Cross was as punctual as can be and got the work done with as little disruption as possible to our tenants. Although we chose a couple of tile options for Ryan to pick up from the big box store, he had to make a change from our tile choices due to supply constraints, but the tiles compliment the bathroom's floor tiles wonderfully. Also, he had an issue with a faulty new shower faucet that leaked but he kept me and my tenants posted on when the manufacturer was going to be sending the replacement parts (two times) and the leak is finally resolved. Quite professional in my opinion. Thanks Ryan and crew!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

The most affordable way to insulate behind unfinished walls is to install fiberglass batts or rolls. These total around $0.75 per linear foot, with the width matching the gaps between standard studs perfectly. However, it’s important to consider the R-value of your insulation and the climate in your area, as fiberglass insulation isn’t the best in terms of preventing heat transfer. Plus, the most affordable option may cost more on electricity bills over time. The most affordable way to insulate behind finished walls is to leave them up and use blown-in insulation to avoid drywall replacement.

It is normal for the attic to be hotter than the rest of the house in the summer, but only by about 10 or 20 degrees. Attics that aren’t properly insulated or ventilated can reach temperatures of 130 degrees or more which can cause damage to the home’s structure, including the roof, wood framing, and HVAC system.

Single-pane windows might let in the cold, but if you’re not ready for a long-term solution or window replacement, there are quick fixes to keep your space warmer. Start by sealing gaps with weatherstripping or caulking around the frame to block drafts. For an extra barrier, apply window insulation film to the glass, trapping an air pocket between the film and the window. Thick curtains or thermal drapes can also help keep the chill at bay. And if you’re in a pinch and looking to get creative, bubble wrap can provide a surprisingly effective layer of insulation—just spritz the window with water and press it on, bubble side in.

Unless your cellulose insulation is wet, moldy, or showing signs of mildew or pests, there’s no need to remove it before adding new insulation on top of it. Inspect your insulation thoroughly before adding the new insulation, and if you’re unsure how to assess the presence of mold or mildew, talk to a mold remediation specialist near you.

Minimal but regular checks can ensure maximum thermal performance.
