"I was very impressed with Sentri Homes - their customer service was excellent. They sent a subcontractor to install some vinyl laminate in my bathroom and he ended up getting glue all over the carpet in our bedroom. The sub ended up ghosting both me and Sentri, leaving me stuck with a ruined carpet. Sentri stuck with me for over a month to get the carpet replaced with the identical original and to get the vinyl job 100% completed. The carpet was a Home Depot exclusive and Sentri handled everything with them. I will be using Sentri for a much bigger renovation I have coming up soon, because I know that they will make sure everything gets done right no matter what problems come up. The vinyl looks great too."

"Working with CMP Home Remodeling was an wonderful experience from start to finish. After calling about 5 other contractors and only get 1 other call back/estimate, Brian got back to us right away, provided a detailed estimate, and scheduled our service with great efficiency.  His crew worked quickly and did a beautiful job that was reasonably priced. They were courteous and professional every step of the way. However, what made us repeat clients for CMP Home Remodeling was the fact that the day our concrete was poured and after the crew had cleaned up and left our home, our freshly poured concrete sidewalk was vandalized. Not knowing what to do, we called Brian just to see if there was anyway we could fix it; because we knew that this is something typically not covered by the contractor. However, despite that fact that it was almost 8pm, Brian headed back over to our house and was able to patch it for us himself.  Words cannot express how grateful we are to him for that and we think it is a testament to the level of professionalism and quality customer service your receive when dealing with CMP Home Remodeling- so much so that less than a month later we have hired them to do another project in our home."

"After living through projects that felt very messy and interruptive - even in the rooms that weren't even part of it - I was hesitant to do more. I looked for a contractor that would be respectful to the fact that we had to still live in the house and J. Cottingham lived up to their promise. Very clean process and impeccable results. Their workmanship accounted for all the 'old house' challenges without losing quality."

Home Building questions, answered by experts

Buying a house is easier than building one from scratch. Buying an existing home is almost always faster, even if you need to make renovations once you move in. When you hire the right team to build a home, they will simplify the design and build phases so that there is little guesswork throughout the process, but building new construction will almost always take longer than buying an existing home.

Historically, Tudor homes originally stemmed from the 15th and 16th centuries, while Victorians appeared during Queen Victoria's reign in the 19th century. The design and structural differences are significant as well. The many types of Victorian architecture—such as Italianate architecture—typically feature ornate trim, wood siding, wraparound porches, and tall towers on top, such as belvederes. On the other hand, Tudor-style homes feature white stucco exteriors with exposed wooden rafters marking the house frame both inside and out.

Building a house without blueprints is not advised. It will prevent you from obtaining necessary building permits and meeting building codes and is likely to result in shoddy construction and unsafe living conditions. Detailed blueprints ensure that a house is built to exact specifications and is constructed safely and structurally stable.

Builder-grade is one of two types of stock cabinets, whereas semi-custom designs allow homeowners some control over the color, finish, or hardware on their cabinets. Stock cabinets are sold in construction-grade and builder-grade designs. Construction-grade cabinets are usually made from inexpensive medium-density fiberboard, which is prone to moisture damage, whereas builder-grade models are a step up with higher-quality materials. Construction-grade designs are the most common type of cabinets in America.

A contractor can install your shipping container home in as little as 90 days. This is notably quick compared to a traditional home build, which can take more than a year (providing there aren’t permitting or construction delays that make the wait even longer). For the quickest installation, choose a prefab container home.
