Our house was left in TOTAL shambles and many things destroyed. What a total nightmare this was! The guy didnt tell us the truth from day one. Riverside Construction & Remodeling LLC out of Toms River was hired for a large size job to add onto our home, rebuild a deck & new garage very early 2023. Gary the owner made a ton of promises to finish quicker then the other quotes we have and use much more quality materials. He was charging 30% higher as well which is why he was trying to sell his company to us. After over 26 months of garbage quality, unprofessional services, threats from his company/him and nickel and dimming at every corner we had to hire another company to finish and redo much of the job his "workers" started. I had to text him to let him know as the addresses he gave us on the contract was vacant. Not showing up for 4 months I dont think he cared. He has excuses for everything and has no foreman or quality control. They screwed up so much of our house

Do not hire gary Simone and his crew of non professional family jokers. A job that should have taken six months took them 2 years. I had moved out of my house and desperately wanted to sell, Gary presented himself as a construction professional with high integrity after all he was a dover township fire chef. All he cares about is getting your money after you sign a contract he doesn't care. A job that should have taken six months tops probably much less because the house was empty took 2 years. I would call over and over leave messages begging him to finish my house but gary Simone doesn't care. He has other jobs at the same time. He also nickels and dimes you reusing old materials. If it weren't for his carpenter paul [Provider Name Removed] my house would still be a mess, thank you paul. If anything hire paul. He put in a new water heater with no permit then refused to pay for it or get it, I had to do it all. I can go on and on. DON'T HIRE RIVERSIDE CONSTRUCTION GARY SIMONE IS NOT TO BE T

This particular job came to us because the owner started to do work with out permits and under violation of the Tom driver building department. There were months and months of delays trying to help this customer get their permitting in order just to be able to do the jobbut anyway I wish them nothing but the very best."

Good Morning, Riverside Construction (Gary) did a major construction job for me. He was extremely reliable and maintained the timeline of completion date. He is always professional and his workers were consistently on time. Gary was responsive to me answering any questions and always responded to phone calls in a timely fashion. I would also like to add that the project was the first renovation I had done to my home. I really had no idea where to begin. Gary helped tremendously to walk me through each step, helped with color coordination and overall design. He is extremely talented. My family and friends could not give enough compliments on the finished project. I would absolutely hire him for further renovations in the future.

Before Gary gave me an estimate, I was impressed because he pointed out that aroung the door needed to be scraped and painted, also indicated that, the nails in my gutters needed to be fixed, repaired. He was looking to see what work needed to be done, and It was all included in my estimate. He was helping the client, me where no one likes to do small jobs. He completed the job and I am very happy,

My partner and I hired Riverside to remodel our property to be dual use. We live here but also run our animal rescue and rehab organization from our home. We converted a section of the home to accommodate the animals as well as refreshed our kitchen and living space for us. It came our PUR-FECT! We can help so many more fur babies while enjoying our home to the fullest as well. We originally purchased this home for the property but now we love the house too! Thanks Riverside. We will be hiring them again for more projects in the near future! Two of their workers even stepped up and gave two rescue pooches a forever home!

We hired the guys at Riverside to build us a detached garage and a deck off the rear of the main house. We needed a safe space to store our classic Corvette as well as entertain in the warmer months. We could not be happier with the end result. We have an amazing, CLIMATE CONTROLLED! garage and man cave and a great deck. I recommend the team at Riverside to all of our friends and family!

Hiring Riverside is bringing CHAOS into your home. They are totally disorganized. They can not keep sub-contractors so they bring unqualified family members in to do the work- they do not do quality work. Riverside workers are very messy and they do not care about quality. They cannot keep to any schedule. My kitchen cabinets started to chip immediately and they have done nothing to repair. We had to have some of the electric redone. They walked off the job with many items unfinished. They do not care about your personal belongings- they dont cover anything and they break your things and just leave them for you to find. Finally, do not trust them with timelines and promises. They do not follow either.

Remodel a Kitchen We hired Riverside Construction, Toms River, for our kitchen renovation. Shortly after the start, we quickly realized that quality work was not a company priority. For starters, they tried to put off start date from the beginning. We always felt they were trying to sneak the issues by us in hopes we would not see them. Electric is incomplete with outlets that were working no longer work. Cabinets were chipped when installed , they touched them up with different color paint, then painted them with the wrong finish. To this day 8 months later my cabinets are still a mess. Electric isnâ t complete. What kind of company does that???? ......Riverside Construction, Toms River. I wish I read the reviews before hiring this awful company. We were told issues would be corrected at the same time owner Gary was requesting final payment. Issues were never corrected. They have refused to answer repeated calls.

My wife Martha and I hired Riverside Construction to remodel a kitchen in our historic home (circa 1899). The kitchen was last remodeled in about 1955 and was in desperate need of updating. From the first meeting with the guys we felt like they would show us and our project the utmost of care and concern. We wanted to maintain some semblance of the history of the home while giving our favorite room a more modern look and approach. From new cabinets, beautiful hardwood floors, spectacular granite counters, and modern appliances I am still struggling to understand exactly how to operate, I can talk to my refrigerator, each crew completed each item timely and professionally. We are nothing but pleased with the outcome and would tell any neighbor or friend who asked to hire Riverside Construction in a second. We are so pleased they are just about to begin work on a new master bath and sun porch on our beloved abode.

Did not complete job and disappeared. They estimated 11 week job. Left the job after almost a year. Very messy. Broke and lost many things (valences, motion detectors, chandeliers); never covered or protected furnishings and rest of home. Some of staff was incompetent and unqualified. Often had to rip out work and start again. Cabinets already chipping/peeling after 1 month. Had to continually compromise or risk ripping everything out.

Gary and his company transformed my entire home. They first remodeled my kitchen, dinning and laundry room Opening up walls and adding support beams a complete gut job. I was so impressed with their work that I hired them to redesign my two bathrooms. I am extremely pleased with how the bathrooms transformed as well. They also replaced my front door and exterior column, which look amazing. I would and have recommended Riverside Construction to anyone thinking about home remodeling.

Gary and his team were fantastic. They did an Addison for my elderly parents and he came when he said he would and did what he said he would. The craftsmanship is excellent. He has excellent ideas and did all the architecture himself. My parents love it as do I. They have also done a kitchen remodel for me and they are they only contractors I will hire from now on. He is so trustworthy and so dedicated. I canâ t say enough about them. Would highly recommend thorn and I will be using them and only them in the future for any and all projects

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. Once Gary gets your money, he could care less about the job or the quality of the work. He is rude and unprofessional. His workers installed a kitchen for me. Gary was never present for the installation. He would come to collect the money, but never checked the quality of the work or if the work was done. I could go on and on writing about how disappointed we were with Gary. Do yourself a favor and find another company. You will be disappointed!

We hired Riverside Construction, Toms River, for our kitchen renovation. Shortly after the start, we quickly realized that quality work was not a company priority. For starters, soft close cabinets and vinyl flooring not installed correctly. We always felt they were trying to sneak the issues by us in hopes we would not see them. A single ceramic backsplash tile wa s missing from behind the stove. Were they hoping that we did not need to move the stove for 15 yrs and would not notice? What kind of company does that???? ......Riverside Construction, Toms River. We were told issues would be corrected at the same time owner Gary was requesting final payment. Issues were never corrected. They have refused to answer repeated calls.

Gary seemed great when we met him, and hired him to close in our two story foyer and create a walk-in closet off our master bedroom. But on his first day, he did not protect my hardwood floors and scratched up the floor. We then provided him with paper and tape to put down because all he did was draped painters plastic around, His crew is nice enough, but they are not finish carpenters! AT ALL! They left my house a disaster at the end of everyday, it was a constant battle. If my husband did not put up our own zip walls my whole hose would have been an absolute mess. We provided them a designated bathroom and they still used bathrooms that were taped off for no use. The quality of spackle on new walls was horrendous. It took almost 3WEEKS, four different crews, and finally his tile guy came, yes tile guy, and got it to an acceptable state. Then they used cheap primer, which flashed everywhere! My husband being a painter re-touched spackle, primed and painted himself. They installed a lighted tray ceiling in my entrance way and had to redo the crown because it was a wreck. Lights did not shine right, it was an overall disaster. I had to argue and fight through this whole job to get every step done to the best of their abilities and it took 6 weeks to complete a 3 week job. Now afterwards the column is twisting off the ceiling. My floors and stairs are damaged and I have to hire someone to come and make repairs. I DEFINITELY WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY
