"Called GPS to explain what was going on after having the line snaked and plunged 2 different times from a previous company. Previous company did find a lodged object in the line. They told us we needed to dig up the sewer line, cut the pipe, remove the object and then repair. Max from GPS was here for five minutes when he thought to dig up some of our grass to look for a trap by the street. Which he found immediately ! Took him 2 more minutes to use a tool to grab a sippy cup that my son must have thrown down the drain on the side of the house. So thankful he thought to look for that trap. It not only saved me money and time, but gave me great relief that my plumbing is going to go back to normal again. All the girls who work in the office were extremely helpful as well ! "From the initial phone call to the completion of the job Quality 1st provided top notch professional service. A couple points which makes this easy to write. Communication is key whether in person or via telephone and Q1 was exceptional in this regard at every point. Telephone conversations with customer services was pleasant and cordial, never rushed or snotty. Paul our salesman was here for quite a while answering questions and assessing our needs in the basement. Of only was he on time for our appointment he was about 10 minutes early too. The cost of this project was a good chunk of change for us but after too many times of shop-vac’ing water we knew it was time to bite the bullet and move forward with making life a little easier and not have the issue of when will we get water in the basement again hanging over our heads. I was impressed that Quality 1st uses their own products and has their own R&D facilities. As for the installation, enough cannot be said for the crew that was here. I got the call at 9am they would be here in 20 minutes and at 9:20 they were backing in my driveway. I met the foreman Mario and his 2 helpers. We went into the basement and they looked around and asked if I had any questions. We had almost everything out of the basement and what was left they covered in plastic. By 9:50am they were running the jackhammers. We have a 1,500 sqft ranch and these guys worked all day, they didn’t stop and worked their tails off. I can’t remember exactly when the jackhammer stopped but by 2 pm the channel was dug out and they were beginning to lay out for the channel that carries the water to the sump. About 4pm Kyle showed up to assess the job and see if I had any questions or concerns. We spoke about the job and we went downstairs to see the progress. He stayed on site for about 45 minutes after making sure I was comfortable with how the job was going. By 5:15 or so the job was completely finished. Before they left Mario went over everything regarding the sump system. As far as cleanup, this is a dusty job. Concrete dust is ultra fine and they did a fantastic job of not only sweeping but they also dusted off areas which were not covered in plastic. They left no mess to speak of., I was very satisfied with their work and attention to detail. It’s easy to nitpick any job at anytime and there is nothing I would call them out on. Finally as for the functionality of the sump system I wish I had a comment on that at this time. We’ve lived in our house for 25 years and until around Thanksgiving of this year (2018) we’ve only had water about 4 times. Between Thanksgiving (2018) and New Years (2019) we got slammed 4 times and nothing since. With the symptoms of how our basement got water, I feel comfortable with the system Quality 1st installed and am confident they will stand behind their work and warranty. We’re also happy this is transferable to the next homeowner when we sell the house and it is an excellent selling point when the time comes."

"We started having issues with our foundation settling. We searched on line for foundation repair companies in our area. We decided to get 3 estimates. Because of their great reviews we called AFS first. Robert Stringfield showed up to explain our issues and gave us an estimate for the job needed. First of all Robert was very polite, professional and knowledgeable about foundation repair. He spent a great deal of time measuring and surveying the issues, causing our foundation to settle. He also found some mold that we were unaware of. He also observed some large cracks in our concrete driveway. After he completed his through inspection, he proceeded to show us the problems we were having by using pictures on his laptop. He then went into great detail explaining how AFS would take care of all of our issues, foundation, mold and driveway. He presented three options that we could choose from. 1. support to stabilize foundation. 2. support to stabilize foundation and install drain system with sump pump. 3. support to stabilize foundation and install drain system with sump pump and totally encapsulate the crawlspace. We chose the third option and decided to have our driveway repaired. AFS does offer low cost financing and a discount for package deals. Also included is a life time warranty, that covers a parts and labor, that is transferable should you sell your house. We also got estimates from RamJack and American Foundation Repair, but because of Robert and the great reviews AFS had, we chose them to do our job. The workers showed up on time and completed our job in five days. Everybody we dealt with at AFS was great! We would highly recommend AFS to get your job done. It was a very expensive job, but gave us the security of knowing it was done right. A rule I have learned over the years: Good work is not cheap. Cheap work is not good."

"Joe was professional and let me know what he was going to do. After he left the problem area has been fine..no leaking, no worries. His price seemed reasonable and it was nothing compared to Horizon (stay away from them!). I have had different plumbers "fix" this issue and they keep leaving me with a problem not solved. I felt fine when he left, fine now, and i haven't thought twice about the price. I am not worried about anymore dripping! Finally! I would use him again and I would recommend him."

"They are the best! From the moment I called for info til the job was done was great. The fact they send you information regarding the job and educate you on different things regarding the basement was wonderful, the phone call, when the rep came to evaluate what I wanted done and then go over everything (not a sale pitch either), never felt pressured to get anything extra. I received a follow up to make sure what I wanted done and when they will be here. The guys called me to let me know they will be here shortly (was early) they did a great job and ensure everything was put back and try their best it was dusty anymore. He walked with me to go over everything that was done and what I would need to do. Then I received I a follow up call to to ensure everything was to my liking and if I had any questions. Trust me I would recommend them over and over! FYI: I had new trench drains put in, dehumidifier and protection on the walls"

"For over 20 years my wife and I used another A rated Angie’s List heating and air conditioning firm and we have given them good reviews in the past. Recently our 20+ year old heater started acting up. At times throughout the day or night the burner wouldn’t ignite and we would be without heat. After seven service calls and various parts at the cost of $700.00 our old service company could not repair the heater and the problem remained unresolved. So we decided to get estimates to replace our entire HVAC system mainly due to it’s age and this unsolved problem. Vaughan Heating and Air Conditioning was on our list of acceptable companies to speak with due to their Angie’s List A rating. We called Vaughan and they sent Tony Pellegrino to our home the next day. My wife and I were very impressed with Tony. He spent over an hour at our home scoping out our basement, configuring our new system and answering our questions. Later that day we received the Vaughan estimate that Tony sent by email. I called Tony and he spent another hour on the phone addressing my questions and concerns. We received the other competitor's estimates over the next two days. We accepted the Vaughan’s estimate which was $1,100.00 more then the lowest estimate and $2,500.00 less then the highest estimate we received. Our choice was based on our comfort level with Tony, the price of the job, the longevity of the company (established in 1937) and the quality of the heating and air conditioning units that Vaughan installs. We accepted the Vaughan estimate on Saturday evening and Tony scheduled our job that coming week on Tuesday (for the heater) and Thursday (for the air conditioner). The reason for the one day in between work was because they squeezed our job into an already full week of installations and we were really pleased that they did that for us. On Tuesday morning at 8:30am the installer’s, Marcus and Jeff were at our house ready to start the job. These guys were friendly, professional, extremely competent and also very neat and clean, covering our rugs, etc. Jeff and Marcus did and exceptional job installing our new HVAC system. It’s “state of the art”! My wife and I are extremely happy with the job Vaughan Heating & Air Conditioning did and we could not be more comfortable, then we are now, in our home. "Contacted Color Stamp Concrete to request an estimate.  They worked around my schedule to meet with me and not only provided me an estimate but also design recommendations.  Their estimate was very reasonable and as i have done business with this company for my first patio with no issues i decided to use them again.  Upon receipt of my permits they were able to begin work within 3 days for setup and including one day for bad weather was able to pour and stamp within 3 days.  They knew all the requirements and specifications for a hot tub installation and was included in the estimate and was applied flawlessly.  Next day first coat of sealant was applied.  At the end of that day Color Samp Concrete met with me to finalize payments and upon their review of the patio they decided that another coat of sealant was required and returned the next day to apply.  Was very impressed with the work and with how well it matched my previous patio.  Fred Bloss, whom i worked with for the entire project was very responsive and informative through all steps of the process.  I will recommend Color Stamp Concrete to my friends and colleagues and will use them again for my future concrete needs."
