"refrigerator.I had one of the most disappointing and frustrating experiences with RJ Appliances NJ INC during a recent repair of my Miele refrigerator. When the technician first came to inspect the unit, they claimed to have done a full diagnostic and gave us a final quote of around $1,000 (after tax). We agreed, thinking everything had been properly assessed. But when they came back to do the actual repair, the story completely changed. They suddenly “discovered” that the fridge door wouldn’t close properly and said we would need to replace the entire door — for several thousand dollars! After we refused that ridiculous suggestion, they said they could “repair” the door instead, but only if we paid an extra $850. At that point, with the refrigerator already taken apart, we had no real choice but to accept. This whole process felt misleading and unfair. If the technician really did a full inspection, how did such a major issue appear only later? It seemed like a classic case of bait-and-switch pricing — quoting one number and then inflating the cost after we had already committed. We expected professionalism and transparency, especially since RJ Appliances is associated with Miele service. Instead, we were left feeling pressured, overcharged, and deceived. ⚠️ Warning to others: Be extremely cautious before agreeing to any quote from this company. Make sure everything is documented and confirmed in writing before you proceed. Very disappointing experience — definitely would not recommend RJ Appliances NJ INC."

"Worst service I’ve ever have experienced. They wanted to sell me the product, never told me that there was an early termination fee and another penalty for an initial offer they gave me. Had double charges every month, once for the oil they provided (which they never told me they were going to provide before coming. They just came without my knowledge and then I find a high amount bill) and another for an “automatic payment” for 500 that they never could explain. The didn’t even fix this issue and it kept happening every month even after I cancelled the service. Then having to call them is a hastié for the refund of the 500. Stay away of this company"

It was so good because there was a threat of a brutal heat wave coming the following week, with projected temperatures reaching 100 degrees. He came out the next day to thoroughly diagnose the problem and then returned the day after to fix it. Throughout, I watched him work and asked numerous questions. "First of all I wanna mention that my experience is similar to many people who have been serviced by j&s as it appears in their Yelp reviews. I had a working furnace that was tripping because of limited airflow, they practically forced me to change the furnace. Which, cost me $4000 and took over 2 weeks. Then the new one had a defective gas valve. Then the furnace kept tripping and stopped working even after changing the valve. I had to reopen the work order for the 3rd time. When they came they found out about the limited airflow from the dirty coil. They said they'll talk with AHS and get back to me, but what they did is they closed the request as completed. I had to call again to reopen the request. When they showed, up they tried to talk me into downgrading my filter. It was too late when I realized that the real issue was a dirty coil and/or duckt work not the furnace. Lastly, they sneakily updated the request to have a non covered item ($200 to change the air filter) this way,"
