He could do everything I wanted and more. The first job was having his friend do the roof and the gutters. He did a fine job - he was very professional and the roof came out great. In fact, I couldn't figure out why my smoke detector on the second floor was leaking water - and he came to figure it out - went all over the roof and into my attic - and saw that my air conditioning condensation tray was directly over the smoke detector so it leaked into it. He said it would probably never happen again. I will look for the name of the roofer and post a stellar review - just couldn't find it to post it for this loser. The basement was done OK with the exception of the carpeting. The installer he used banged up the paint job during his job. When I vacuumed the stairs for the first time, ( I'm not proud - but it was not until May since I do not use the basement at this time) a loose fiber got sucked into the vacuum and 2 inches of the padding became exposed because the installation was faulty. The carpet just unravelled!!! I requested the name of the installer so I could contact him directly but Peter Fox refused. I did all of the spackling and repairs to the interior walls to save on expense. I was charged over 3000.00 for painting one coat for three rooms along with a cathedral ceiling.. which would have been OK except the ceiling was never painted. I had to call Peter out on it to get them to paint the ceiling. Also - one coat was not enough - and if I did not insist on a 2nd - Peter Fox would have left it looking like crap. Being ripped off for the electrical work that his electrician was supposed to do is what pushed me over the edge. His electrician spent about two hours at my property and subcontracted other work out to his friend - whom I don't know - however I was billed two thousand dollars for the installation of 3 basic ceiling fixtures and two bathroom fans. Pete used substandard wood for the deck, causing many boards to warp and separate from the floor and the railings. He used wood putty extensively which made the railings have unsightly bumps, dark spots and light spots. Every post used next to a gate developed gaping splits down the middle of each one. It was unbelievable. I forwarded Peter photos of the poor workmanship that I had paid top dollar for - but he was not interested. I paid a carpenter almost 500.00 for repairs last summer just so I could stain the rest of the deck. In the end he said that he didn't feel his services were needed and provided me with the names and numbers of 4 different companies who could help us install a pump and do excavating to direct the water away from the house. They were prompt and responded by e-mail and phone relatively quickly. We had gone back and forth on potential dates to have the work done but never could agree on a date. Then, one night they said they would be in the next day to do the job. I was caught off guard and not prepared to be home from work, but figured they were busy and this was my only opportunity. So, I let them go ahead and do the work. They asked when I would be home and I said maybe 6 pm, not realizing they were going to wait for final payment. I thought they would send me a bill or leave it in my mailbox. They scare my wife because she came home to two guys waiting for a check (they were nice though, so not too threatening). When I got home to inspect the work, I found they had disconnected the downspout from the underground drain and forgot to replace it. Well, it rained/poured that day so I had a huge puddle in my yard and water in the basement. NOT HAPPY. Also, my gutters leaked still in the same places that I originally had a problem. I was not happy because they did not inform me what the real problem was with the gutters. Granted, they were right that I needed new screens, but they should have told me before attempting to do the work and misrepresent that they fixed my problem. Yeah, sure they cleaned my gutters...but that was only 1/2 my problem. The leaks were another. I also told Ray about the disconnected downspout and said I expected some type of money back for the incomplete work. He instead sent a guy to my house to reconnect...after I already told him I fixed it myself. He also sent him up to the roof to look at my leaks, but could not find any reason for the leaks. It wasn't until I sent detailed pictures myself to Ray that he said the problem was with the gutter screens. Why should I need to do the legwork if his guy was already at my house twice? I did not get a refund for any amount and was not happy."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/nj/hackettstown/ray-brown-jr-services-llc-reviews-493405.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Applied Mechanical Resources Inc","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"NJ","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Joelle M."},"reviewBody":"The air conditioning unit in my attic was leaking water through the ceiling and into the master bedroom. They were very unprofessional, they were tardy and late showing up and my basement still leaks and they damaged my property and they won't return my calls.
Dave was very responsive to our call and came on time as promised. He put a scope through the shower wall to look for signs of water leaking or damage and found none. He confirmed that the leak is not coming from the valves or any of the pipes. He showed me the missing grout between the...

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Colonia, NJ
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
