"We had a great experience with this company! From start to finish, their customer service was amazing. They were very patient and kind with my mother, and since she is elderly, that meant a lot to us. They made us feel comfortable right away. The team did an excellent job and completed the project in a timely manner. I live out of town, but they kept me informed every step of the way and made sure I knew exactly what was being done at my mother?s home. I truly appreciate their professionalism and care. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would!"

"Miguel came to my rescue! He came the same day I called. I ordered an industrial dog kennel 10x10 with a roof. Not only did he put it up correctly in a timely fashion, but he pointed out that the safety anchors were not durable for the Nebraska wind. He took the time to make a solution so the kennel was properly secured. Miguel does other projects such as painting, tile, epoxy and I look forward to using his services in the future as this was not a typical job he does but he was up to help me! If you want someone trustworthy, dependable and more than capable he’s the man to call!"

"My electric dryer stopped working yesterday. I found Tim on Home Advisor. I called him last night, and he was here before noon today. He was here for over an hour, and got the dryer working. With Tim's guidance, we decided we needed to buy a new dryer. Tim was professional, prompt, clean, and an excellent communicator, and he charged us his rate for a service call. We will definitely call Tim again for home repairs. He is very versatile."

Caulking Services questions, answered by experts

Before starting a handyman project in Omaha, review local permit requirements with the Omaha Permits and Inspections Division and confirm if your project needs approval. Gather all necessary tools and materials, accounting for Omaha's seasonal weather. Check local building codes and schedule any required inspections early. Consulting the Nebraska Department of Labor for registration requirements can also help prevent unexpected delays.

Helpful?

New Omaha homeowners should start with safety and maintenance tasks: test smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, change exterior locks, and inspect the HVAC system for seasonal readiness. Check for signs of basement moisture, clean gutters, and trim overhanging tree branches to prevent storm damage. Sealing windows and doors, tuning up the furnace, and inspecting attic insulation are smart steps to prepare for Omaha’s changing seasons.

Helpful?

Keep children and pets completely away from the mailbox repair area. Omaha curbside placements sit directly adjacent to city streets, making this a hazardous roadside work zone. Winter conditions involving ice, road salt, and snowplows increase these dangers significantly. You must also keep family members away from wet concrete, which is necessary to securely anchor posts in local clay soils.

Helpful?

Choose moisture-resistant post materials to withstand heavy clay soils and prevent rot during your mailbox repair. Select corrosion-resistant metal hardware and posts to combat the heavy road salt used in NE. Ensure you use enough concrete to set the post 36 inches deep, preventing frost heave and resisting high winds. Always purchase a replacement unit that meets standard USPS dimensions.

Helpful?

Safely handle minor mailbox repair tasks like fixing hinges, door latches, or flags on your own. For leaning posts caused by Omaha freeze-thaw cycles, monitor the angle before the ground freezes in autumn. Always verify USPS height requirements of 41 to 45 inches before adjusting. You must contact Nebraska 811 to mark underground utilities before digging or resetting a post in the public right-of-way.
