Shane gave us an estimate of between $6000 and $8500. This was about what we wanted to spend and gave the ok. As he began to buy the materials that would address our needs he came back to us and recommended that we move one wall out 2 feet. The bathroom will be used primarily for my father who is 82 and he asked for a special shower with a seat and handles. We felt this was reasonable and were actually happy with Shane’s plan which would allow Dad more room. Shane also found a pump that would work for the shower, toilet and sink. Understandably, another estimate had to be drawn up and this brought the total cost to $11,000. Considering everything that was being done, we felt the increase was reasonable. Shane explain to us what actions he was taking throughout the project and we felt confident he would do the job right. He completed the job two weeks ago now and we are totally satisfied."

"Tom Mitchell was exceptional at looking at the issue we had with flooding in our basement and a few other water ingress issues. He gave a lot of advice, and was pretty much honest that what we had done to mitigate the issue (which I was familiar with flooding buildings from my work) had very much minimized what needed to be done by any company... He was nice, amused by our gumption to mop up the water, direct it, and rent some big equipment immediately. He showed me a few more tricks, and then never sent an estimate, because, I suspect that the job was too small for this company. That's fine. I'm grateful for the boatload of tips, and we got another company to follow through on the advice given. It was very clear that DR Restore is really a mid-size to large-size disaster project company, and probably aiming at projects 3K and larger... and I suspect leaning towards the larger. Thank you, Tom. I've recommended DR Restore to friends who have larger projects since. This is definitely a place to call for those of you who have peculiar restoration projects as I believe-- after chatting with him-- that Tom likes a challenge. That's admirable."
