"CMC was very communicative up front and sent Martin out within days of my request. Martin installed an electrical outlet and light with a switch in my hall closet. He also quoted prices for additional projects in the house to do at a later time. Martin was friendly and clearly explained everything he needed to do. I’ll ask for him again next time!"

"I requested a 2-4 pm window and a specific technician, David, whom I know personally.  He arrived at 2:30 so we were off to a great start!  He went straight to work wearing floor-protecting booties.  He starting with re-familiarizing me with how my thermostats worked which was helpful, and changed my filters while he had his ladder out.  He left me with written recommendations on how I could sign up for an annual maintenance agreement, install a UV light, and of course, replace my rusting 14 year old system.  I did not require any repairs but will certainly call them back for a spring A/C tune up and for a price to replace the old system when the time comes.
As a disclaimer, I formerly owned One Hour Heating and Air for whom David once worked.  I believe that makes me a more critical customer.

"Donavan responded very quickly to my request after posting on Angi! He’s very knowledgeable in the electrical field. He did a GREAT job installing the receptacle and Lockout switch for my generator. Donavan went over all of the instructions after the job was completed the cost of the job was fair and he never went up on the quote. Very polite and patient he cleaned up all material after the job was completed. I defiantly would recommend calling him again for all types of handyman work!"

"I called them for the electrical, based on getting them off of Angie's List. While I was talking to them, they said they also had this deal on checking out my air conditioning and heating system and I said well I needed to have that done anyway. It turned out it wasn't the same person. It was a different person that came to check out the heating and air system than the electrician that I hired.

I thought it was very expensive. The guy was here a good part of the day. He had to hang 2 ceiling fans and redo the lights on the wall in the bathroom. He replaced another ceiling light fixture. So he was here probably 5 or 6 hours but I was surprised how much it cost.

They were pretty reliable, I would just shop around on the price a little bit. They were responsive when I called. Set up an appointment promptly and came when they said they were gonna be here. They did what they said what they were going to do. I haven't had to have them come back to redo anything that they did. Which is a good sign to me. They cleaned up. "

"Kedvin and his team really came through for us. We just moved from out of state and bought a large house that needs lots of attention. Working in a short window between close and the end of our rental period but they pulled carpet, installed LVP, removed popcorn from random ceilings, replaced dated light fixtures, patched drywall, installed one room of oak flooring, refinished the rest of the hardwoods, and primed and painted all walls, trim, and ceilings. They worked long hours into the night several times to meet our schedule and always worked with a smile. Great craftsmanship and care was obvious in the final product. We recommend Kedvin for any work he is willing to do for you and your home."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

You can install a ceiling light fixture using a similar process to the one described in this guide. Ceiling lights can have added difficulty because of their location. Working on a ladder with your head tipped back and your arms in the air isn't ideal, but with big projects come big rewards.

Between the relatively simple process and the lower cost of installing recessed lighting yourself, it’s not a bad idea to DIY this project. It will take a little reading on electrical safety and how to properly wire your new recessed fixture, but it’s fairly easy to install a new fixture in just a couple of hours if you have the right tools and supplies on hand. But, if you’re not familiar with lighting installation, hiring a professional can give you peace of mind and ensure the job is done right.

If you’ve gone through the troubleshooting checklist for your motion detector flood light and it’s still not working, it’s time to consider a new one. Older models that need frequent fixes can be unreliable. Newer flood lights feature advanced technology that improves your lights’ sensitivity and overall performance. If you’re fed up with unexpected darkness, investing in a new light can give you the lighting you need to feel secure.

It’s possible to remove a new construction recessed light without getting into your attic, though it’s a bigger job. You’ll need to identify the joist locations using a stud finder, then cut a square hole in the drywall of your ceiling to remove the fasteners holding the fixture. After removing the light, you’ll have to patch and paint the ceiling again.

No, there aren’t additional code requirements for kitchen lights. Kitchen lights and other electrical circuits in the kitchen have different code requirements. Outlets need to be particularly robust because of their frequency of use and proximity to liquids. If you need help determining where to install outlets in your kitchen, consult a local electrician who can ensure that placement is functional and up to code.
