"Mr. Calvo came out to my home and thoroughly investigated the framing of the foundation, the walls, and the design plans for our kitchen renovation which included removing walls. This allowed us to provide the GC with a certified engineering plan for all necessary changes for the project to succeed and pass inspections. We received a certified carefully detailed diagram specifying the required changes. The plan drawing called for the contractor to communicate back any discrepancies. Months later the project is in process and Mr. Calvo quickly acknowledged my emailed changes and made modifications to his plan design so the GC could proceed without any delay to the project. I am very pleased with the services that Mr. Calvo and his firm, IDE, have provided."

We do offer Angie's List discounts!!! We also offer free estimates on replacements. We do not charge travel charges. NC LICENSE #8288, SC LICENSE #38582

"I called Air central when our heat went out last week! Wes quickly responded with a phone call to set up an appointment. He came out the next day was on time and professional. He Educated me on the issue and the best Options. He worked me up a estimate while at my residence. We decided to get two other companies to come out and get prices to ensure we got the best price for the best quality. After doing so we decided that we were more impressed with Wes and air central then the other companies. I called Wes and told him we would like to move forward. The next day he brought out a few space heaters to keep us warm until the equipment could be ordered and job done. 4 days later due to equipment shortages they arrived on time in uniform and was nothing but professional. They did my new furnace in one day. The job was so clean and neat. Wes came by went over everything that was done and was so nice. I couldn’t imagine what we would have done with all the help we received from Wes and his guys. I would highly recommend him and his team for anyone’s HVAC needs. Great customer service. Great price. Great guys. Thank you Wes and air central you are my go to guys for anything HVAC related."

There are no employees or sub-contractors--you hire me and you get me. I'm a Nationally Certified Master Inspector, Licensed Building Official, International Code Council (ICC) certified residential inspector and Building Official, NC Licensed Home Inspector, SC Licensed Home Inspector, Certified Thermographer, Certified Mold Inspector, Certified Indoor Air Consultant, member of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors. I've totaled thousands of inspections and completed countless hours of training since the business began in 2005, including NC required annual training. I have two university bachelor degrees. I inspected hundreds of homes and commercial buildings as a code inspector (Building Official) for three years during the Great Recession (the builders were excited to see me resign that position). Previous careers include four years as an Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Compliance Officer inspecting the construction industry in SC. OSHA ingrained in me a detective-like mindset, along with thoroughness, documentation and report writing skills that are the main assets I bring to the home inspection industry. While with OSHA, I inspected a major hydro-electric project being built by Duke Power Company, and they hired me. I spent the following eleven years in the electric utility industry with Duke Energy in managerial and scientific positions, including Safety Supervisor at nuclear, fossil, and hydro plants. See my website for more details and sample reports.

"I am a local real estate agent and have used Alpha & Omega Home Inspections for years professionally and more recently for our personal home which we just renovated. Joe Funderburk (Inspector) did the pre dry wall inspection as well as the final inspection and did a great and very thorough job. Trust him very much. Very much endorse their services to others in need of home inspections."

Rest assured, a factory trained and NATE certified HVAC professional is using calibrated digital gauges to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation that is backed by a lifetime workmanship warranty. All employees are drug and background checked and do not work on commission. 'We Hire The Best For The Best!'

"I wished we had known about the Integrity sooner instead having waisted time with other companies. Our last AC guy was trying force us to agree getting another AC brand for an insane price. He thought he would convince us once it was during the hottest wave we have ever had.We just wanted to make sure we could get not only a better estimate but know what else the market had to offer us. Since we know Costco has a reputable name in the market, we felt we should take that path. Certainly Costco would have a trustworthy partnership with an AC company. We got 3 estimates before Integrity. None of them I felt confident in going ahead.Even with a lower estimate. As soon as they called me to schedule the visit, I told my husband we probably had found the right direction.Ortiz came and took care to hear our needs and he did not try to sell us anything else other than we really needed. Everything he told us we were aware. He was very clear, profissional and easy to deal with. Actually the whole process with Integrity was absolutely easy to deal with. Everyone I had to speak, email or get in touch was responsible, clear and very kind. The installation crew was amazing. We had Dan, Abraham, Bryce and another guy I forgot his name. This one was super nice with my son talking about games. We are very impressed with the quality service Integrity has, and the way they deal with their customers. Keep doing this excellent job. Nail was so very attentive with me answering my questions all the time. We are more than happy to have chosen Integrity to take car of our HVAC from now. Definitely the name Integrity speaks itself. Thank you for working with us since the beginning process to the end with so much care. We feel so much comfortable now knowing we have a trustworthy and integrity company to take care of our system. Please keep doing this excellent job and your company will be always on the top of credibility, for sure."

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

Yes, a pot filler can add value to a home by attracting buyers with its combination of prestige and usefulness. When building or renovating a kitchen, pot filler installation costs can add value without significantly increasing your overall budget. However, it's important to consider the overall design and layout of your kitchen before deciding to install a pot filler. Unlike other parts of the stove, a pot filler may not be used every day. Pot fillers are most appreciated in larger kitchens with a large distance between the sink and stove. In a smaller kitchen with a sink located close to the stove, a pot filler may seem like an unnecessary feature to some potential buyers.

A half bath is a selling point, adding about $8,000 to $10,000 to the overall value of your home. Removing it can decrease your home’s value—particularly if you have too few bathrooms for the number of bedrooms. That said, it may not make much difference if the number of bathrooms isn’t a problem. You could add value by utilizing that space differently, like a laundry room or workspace.

Depending on location, sellers are often legally required to disclose a home’s defects to buyers, even if the home is being sold as-is. Certain types of defects, such as asbestos, mold, previous water damage, structural issues, and other safety risks, may be required to be disclosed, so check local laws to see what needs to be disclosed and what doesn’t.

Any good contract company will do their own post-work inspection and walkthrough with their clients, but you shouldn’t consider these a replacement for a third-party pre-drywall inspection. Even a small mistake or oversight can lead to big issues down the line. Having an objective, neutral professional perform the inspection will help to make sure nothing goes overlooked.

Yes, you can negotiate repairs after a home inspection. You can talk to the homeowner about either completing any repairs or deducting the cost of those repairs from the price of the home.
