I am a local real estate agent and have used Alpha & Omega Home Inspections for years professionally and more recently for our personal home which we just renovated. Joe Funderburk (Inspector) did the pre dry wall inspection as well as the final inspection and did a great and very thorough job. Trust him very much. Alpha & Omega Home Inspections LLC provided us with a very detailed home inspection that gave us all of the information that we were looking for and more. Joe was extremely thorough. Despite it being a brand new house, he found a lot of issues, many of which you wouldn't even think about. He went above and beyond to help me understand why things were not right. I will be recommending him to my friends.

My husband hired another inspector to inspect our home prior to purchasing the property. He came to our home on two occasions but failed to identify serious problems with our home, screened in porch, and upstairs deck. About three months after we purchased the home we noticed that two of the windows in our sunroom were broken and saw signs of water intrusion on the ceiling of our screened in porch and the ceiling of the dinette area in our kitchen. The seller did not disclose any previous issues with our home. I found myself in need of a knowledgeable inspector to let me know what I was dealing with. I looked on Angie's List and found Joe. I hired him because his resume was impressive and he had more reviews than any other inspector. Joe found multiple major issues that the pre purchase home inspector missed. Joe told my husband and I not to walk on our upstairs deck. If Joe did not tell me that it was dangerous to walk on my deck, my husband and I could have been seriously injured. If I had hired Joe from the start, I never would have purchased my home. Joe contacted me several times after he inspected my home and offered to help me in anyway that he could. I am so grateful that he took the time. I will be hiring Joe to assist me with all future real estate purchases.

Joe is the best, he saved me from buying a house with a major defect that sellers didn’t want to fix the correct way in order to save money. He is very thorough, he doesn’t miss a thing! When I consulted with a Structual engineer following realtor’s advice the engineer asked who was the inspector, when I told him it was Joe the engineer said if Joe said something in the house is wrong “you can bank on it”

My experience working with Joe was great. His communications were clear, he was punctual, the inspection and report were thorough, he was knowledgeable about all the house systems, and to top it off he was very nice. My property had been un-lived in for many years and he accounted for this in his inspection. I really appreciate the pictures he took with his FLIR camera and the details included in the report about how things could be updated to bring them up to current standards.

Built a house through a builder and needed a home inspection. I went back and forth since it was a new home, but relented and called to see if Joe was available. Fortunately he was available and was able to come out and do his thing. Ultimately he verified quite a few things I already knew, but also found a handful of things that would end up causing issues in the long-run. I was able to get that punchlist to my builder, and hopefully they'll be able to address all of it before we close. I can't recommend him enough! Thanks Joe!

Very pleasant experience. Joe was extremely professional, polite, and courteous. He kept me informed of his schedule and let me know when he would be at my property for the inspection. He was very thorough with his inspection and allowed me to tag along while he explained things that needed to be addressed. The after report and summary were succinct and very detailed with plenty of color pictures and videos. The thermal imaging photos were extremely helpful in identifying insulation that was missing in the attic. Joe did my inspection in the evening prior to my walk-through the next morning, so I urgently needed the report before then. By 12 AM the report was in my inbox ready to share with the builder. He's very accommodating and understanding of the needs of his customers. All in all, Joe did a fine job and I'd hire him again as well as recommend him.
