Smoke Alert Home Fire Safety

From schedule to clean the process was great. Technician was helpful and explained all work done. Was not pushy about other services or work that needed to be done.

He was actually a little early but called to make sure it was okay. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable, spent a decent amount of time on our issue, and happily answered all my questions. We got some good advice pertaining to fire safety throughout the house. We will definitely use them again.

Our dryer vent connection was old and not compatible with the pipe that came with the dryer we purchased a few years ago. It turned out the very old exterior vent and pipe in the wall were non-compliant which I had suspected. They were able to quickly replace both parts and attached a new hose connecting the dryer to wall. I'm very pleased with their service and am glad to have this safety hazard remedied. The technician was timely, polite and wore a mask .

Technician was able to clean the dryer vent even though the dryer was in a confined space. Measured airflow before and after, and there was a significant improvement. Cleaned up afterward.

I called Smoke Alert when my dryer wasn't working well and the dryer technician suggested I get the dryer vent cleaned since he couldn't find anything wrong with the dryer. I got an appointment with a Smoke Alert technician within a day. All the technicians are former firefighters. Rich was very professional and explained what he was doing. The dryer works great since the vent cleaning. Rich also reviewed fire safety aspects of the whole home setting and gave me an estimate for updating my smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. A different technician, Dale, returned within a few days to install the new alarms, which also went smoothly and professionally. Very good service, friendly and responsive. I would use them again and recommend them to others.

We were so happy with our experience with Smoke Alert. They responded promptly, and called ahead about 15 minutes of the scheduled visit time to let us know they were on the way. Very professional! Lonnie came out and noticed the vent was compacted and metal vent tubing itself had begun to corrode in the ceiling. A new vent was installed in a couple of hours by going through our ceiling. Could have possibly saved our family from a catastrophic event. Checked the alarms, fire extinguisher, and gave me recommendations on CO2 alarms and a 2nd story evac ladder available on Amazon. Will hire again for work on chimney and gas logs.

John was very responsive and professional when calling in response to my email to set an appointment. Tyler was prompt - even a little early. He explained the process, got right to work and in just a short period of time and doubled the flow in my dryer vent. He also walked me through some other home fire safety items, which I found very helpful. I plan on having them come back to re route my dryer vent in the very near future and I will definitely hire again for vent cleaning.

Excellent. They took pics before and after, showed me where the issues were inside and outside the chimney, and provided quotes for repair. The technician also replaced the chimney cap with one that protects the interior from wildlife. Was very upfront about what repairs they could make, and which ones needed a specialist (brick mason). He actually called me and asked if he could come early so that was a big plus, since it was a weekend.
