"Our rental property needed a complete makeover due to it having plexiwood when it was built in 1994. I contacted Mr. Jean Paul who met with me at the property within a few days. His presentation was exceptional and he was up front and honest with what needed to be done to the house and what the cost would be. My husband was unable to meet Mr. Paul the first time, so Mr. Paul met up for a second time to go over what would be done and as to why. I was comfortable in his proficiency and when he says what he is going to do, it got done. We thought it would take 3 days to get done, but the team who worked on our home accomplished it in two days and it went from a home in distress to a home with finesse'. "Felt rushed to approve the work and pay the balance. Discovered multiple issues later. Just inside the door there's a rock they missed, so now it's under the plastic, which will sooner or later puncture through. I asked for a better door than the one the first installed, but the second was also poorly made and didn't come close to sealing. Called/talked to someone about the issues, but afterward they stopped returning my calls. They also left lots of debris on the ground. The inspection didn't pass for multiple reasons. Waiting for them to come back and address the issues the inspector found. Update: THBS did follow up and fix the issues. They constructed a new crawlspace door that seals, which was the biggest issue. They took out the problematic rock. The inspection passed."

Vapor barriers in attics are a bit outdated and most areas no longer recommend them for attic spaces. For vented attics, the best method is usually to install drywall and cover it with latex paint before attaching insulation fiberglass, cellulose, or foam insulation. When renovating an attic to use as a living space, a contractor can guide you on the best way to cover insulation.

Every exterior wall in a house should have insulation. Municipalities require that new construction homes come with adequate insulation to handle the local climate. The state or local building code lays out the minimum insulation requirements. Interior walls seldom have insulation. Exceptions include interior wall insulation for sound dampening or temperature control of specific rooms.

Mineral wool wraps are the most affordable and effective insulation for crawl space ducts. They are easy to cut, last for a long time, and healthier for humans. Meanwhile, fiberglass wraps are cheaper but more hazardous and difficult to handle. If you do choose to use a fiberglass wrap, make sure you are wearing long sleeves and wear proper protective gear.

The level of insulation is determined by both the material and the thickness of the door. Some garage door materials (such as wood) have natural insulating capabilities, while other materials (such as metal) do not. No matter the material, two-layer and three-layer garage doors have a higher R-value than single-layer garage doors, as insulation is fitted between the panels. 

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.
