To be fair, I had reasonable service from this company for over two year before my AC unit died. They said I needed to replace the compressor. I paid them over $10,000 and the unit still did not work. They did come back several time but were unable to fix the problem. This was last Summer so it was hot. I put them in contact with the manufacturer's tech support rep but they never even called the guy. Eventually, I was working directly with the owner who stopped returning my calls and emails. I can't believe he left me hanging without even the decency to tell me that they were giving up. I had to pay another company to come out and fix their mess. I will never use the company again and if I had more free time, I'd sue them.

Allen Kelly & Co. did quality HVAC work for my Dad's home in Raleigh. They were FANTASTIC! I have never seen personnel so conscientious and professional, committed to providing great service at a fair price. The service coordinator was dedicated to his tasks, keeping us fully appraised. From our perspective, he went the extra mile to explain and resolve some of our special challenges. Would recommend in a heart beat!

Paid nearly $2,000.00 for a variable speed motor on Trane HVAC unti they told me wasn't under warranty. He spent 10 minutes and charged me nearly $2,000.00. Office staff is rude and wasn't helpful determining warranty status. Will never use or recommend, highway robbery!

I can't say enough good things about this company - I'd rate them more than five stars, if I could. I had a complex, hard to isolate AC issue, that only though truly remarkable customer service were we able to solve. Multiple companies tried, but it was Allen Kelly that resolved it. They were honest and professional in dealing with me, and I can't thank them enough!

Very well. We've been Allen Kelly customers for over 20 years. Our old Trane compressor (we got from A/K) was still working, but over time the original air handler (not from A/K) and badly deteriorating original ducting (1983 era soft ducts) made A/C ineffective and inefficient. We replaced compressor and air handler with new HE variable units, and all of the old soft ducting was torn out and replaced with new insulated ducting by A/K. See photos of how nasty the old stuff was. Ducting had holes ( wasps getting in the house) and ducts and distribution boxes were full of mold and crud. The new airhandler is suspended in crawl space - old one was rusty and sitting on blocks like an old Chevy! Its working great, Town of Cary inspected a passed with flying colors. So we are still loyal Allen Kelly customers and will use them again.

Rick and the team did a great job. Despite nasty weather, they kept the house and workspace clean. They were punctual, detail oriented, and the price was the best of 4 quotes I got.

Executed well, excellent corporate philosophy of customer satisfaction. I upgraded to a variable speed indoor, variable speed outdoor, 3 zone system. The system was sized to not only take care of the 3 second floor zones but enough for the attic if/when it gets insulated.

Based on what at first appeared to be a reputable company, my son hired Allen Kelly to install two new replacement HVAC systems in his home with some oversight by me. I don't know if Allen Kelly uses sub-contract installers but the installation crew they sent were anything but the experienced HVAC professionals we would have expected from a 30-year old company. The workmanship quality and attention to detail was absolutely horrendous and we had to go behind them checking their work to make sure they did things the proper way which should have already been done without our asking....these guys showed no pride in their work and simply didn't care. They seemed to know very little about home construction and even tried to drill a two inch hole through a roof rafter because they don't drill pilot holes first or bother to check what they're drilling into!!! They also left a nice big dent in the front gutter from when they installed the new roof vent for the furnace. We did not let them finish all of the contracted work to install additional return vents in the upstairs bedrooms because we feared they might cut into ceiling joists without asking or not know what they might screw up next due to their apparent high level of incompetence. I tried to contact the General Manager, Brian Kelly, by phone to discuss our experience with his company but he never responded to my voicemail. I'll let the pictures we took speak a thousand words as to why you should not hire Allen Kelly despite what their TV commercials say about being part of their "Family" because we certainly got quite the opposite experience from them and now have to fix the damage they caused. Allen Kelly might have been a good company at one time but not anymore....don't allow them near your home with a power tool or ladder.

Very easy process. After initial appointment with sales rep, their technician came and installed it in a few hours. They were very responsive to our questions. We are very satisfied with the product and process even though the price was a little higher than we wanted.

Worst service at best. I had full service performed on two WORKING commercial AC units. The technician decided that he need to rewire one of the systems. The end result was the AUX heating coils were rewired so that they stayed on ALL the time. This was both a fire hazard and costly. The AC ran continuously to keep the office cooled. I told the tech we he was here that something felt different about the air and ask if he could check to se if the coils were on. He said that they were not. Once discovered, I have the pleasure of talking with the rude scheduler on the phone. She said the tech would be out today. I had to call back and a week later the same guy came out and just disconnected the coils all together. Now my working system does not work. The aux heat on the one system is discounted. The only follow up from AllenKelly is them hounding me to pay the invoice. Save your money and troubles. Find someone else.

I chose Allen Kelly because the owner of the company I relied on retired and sold out to Allen Kelly. I should have done more research. Big mistake on my part. When the service person got here, I told him that it was either the blower or something associated with the blower. It took 10 minutes to determine that the capacitor on the blower was bad. It took another 10 minutes to replace the capacitor. The charge was $251. The diagnostic fee was $109. The Allen Kelly charge for the capacitor was $142. I looked up the retail cost of the capacitor. It is $7.49. The markup on the capacitor was 1895%. Obviously, this is price gouging.

I got ripped off but my a/c got fixed. Warranty wasn't worth the paper it was printed on which I had. $10000 trane system in 2010 has broken down three times since installation by Allen Kelly.

Please note this is a very similar review to what I left them on Yelp. It is not spam- just me sharing my experience with as many outlets as I can find so I can stop others from having the same experience I had! Really and truly the worst customer service experience I have ever had. This is the first time I've ever written a online review for a company because this is the first time I've ever had an experience so awful I felt I needed to share! Perhaps I wouldn't write this review if I could speak to the manager there about my experience, but he hasn't returned either of my 2 voicemails from the last week! First in scheduling an appointment, they did not respond to my questions in our email conversation. I had to send my emails two to three times before someone bothered responding. I understand that people get busy and overwhelmed with email- so pick up the phone and call me! This also shouldn't happen more than once.. It happened on three separate instances. When they did come out for the appointment, the technician did not call me 30-45 minutes prior to arriving like I was told he would. I have two rambunctious dogs so I paid for a half day of doggy daycare to get them out of the condo while workers were there. As I pulled back into the parking lot after dropping them off, there the technician was standing around. No phone call, no nothing. Regardless, I let him in and he started the work. After about 25 minutes, he got a phone call and apparently there was some kind of water leak that popped up at his house that his wife couldn't fix. Apparently, she could not have a friend or neighbor of repairman help, he had to drop everything and go help. So he told me a different technician would come in less than an hour and that they would call me. Then he just left. After about an hour and a half I called the main Allen Kelly number to see if they knew when the new technician was coming. I was just stuck hanging around waiting for a phone call and I was getting anxious. They said he was on his way.. I also left a voicemail for the manager to tell him I was dissatisfied with my service up to that point, and asking that he return my call. He never called me back. I called them back after another hour and a half when a new technician had still not arrived, and as I was on hold with them, his car pulled up. It was 3 hours later after the first technician left. At this point, we were now starting over at 2:20PM for an appointment that was supposed to be at 10AM. The technician was nice enough and he was understanding when I had to leave at 3:30PM to pick up my rambunctious dogs from doggie daycare because their halfday there was over.. Glad I spent my money on getting them out of the place- right? At 4:15PM, I had to leave again for an appointment I had at 4:30PM which I had scheduled to make the most of my time off from work. Since I had to take a day of my vacation time to be around when the HVAC repairman was there, I figured I'd get all my appointments finished in one day. Although in retrospect, since they were so late, I would have been fine taking 2-3 hours off of work rather than wasting a whole vacation day. So thanks for that, Allen Kelly! Since the technician was going to finish and leave before I got home, we agreed I would call their main office and give them my credit card information and he would email me an invoice that day. He said he would send it to me from his car. The next day, I did not get a call back from the manager, nor an invoice, nor was my credit card charged. The day after that, I didn't either.. I called the manager again and left a voicemail asking him to call me back... This service was a week before I wrote this Yelp review (to be fair, 4 business days) and I have still not received a call from the manager I left 2 voicemails with. They did, of course, decide to charge my credit card this morning, but I have no invoice to justify what they charged me for. I have no clue the quality of the work they did- I guess only time will tell for that! The customer service was awful, though, and for that I will never use them again. I'm planning to post this review in as many online sites as I can so they get my feedback. Since they won't call me back, this is the only way I can provide them with feedback!
