"After my initial contact with Steve Smith of Smith Richards Land Management, he was quick to respond and visit my home to ***** the damage and determine a plan of action for Emergency removal of trees from the house and fencing around the property. We also asked for a plan to trim or remove trees that threaten the house. He arrived the next day with his crew, they were professional, efficient and polite. They made quick work of removing the trees. They cleaned up meticulously and even seeded the back yard that was torn up by the trees and the heavy equipment required to get the work done to remove the trees safely from the house. I have had other companies on the property to do tree work in the past and compared to Steve and his crew the others were thrill seekers with chain saws! There is a respect for the property and the landscaping and it is evident in their work. They know what they are doing and it shows in their work! I can’t say enough good things about Smith Richard's. A+++++ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steve, thanks again for a job well done!!!"

Architects questions, answered by experts

While you will always work with a team of professionals at some point during your home build, homeowners with experience can take on some part of the process. Manage the initial brainstorm, brief writeup, and floor layout phase with minimal assistance before contacting a general contractor. And while you can purchase stock blueprints for some home designs, it's always best to speak with professionals when choosing one ideal for your property.

Federal architecture is most common in urban areas throughout the New England states, including the older parts of New York, Pennsylvania (namely, Boston and Philadelphia), Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. The style also dominated in parts of Georgia in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, so many historical homes in the area embody this home design. Salem, MA, has two historic districts that predominantly feature this architectural style: Chestnut Street District and the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.

While classic Palm Springs architecture in the Palm Springs area will naturally cost more due to the high cost of living, prices across the rest of the country will vary. Remember that older homes, including those built before 1970, will cost more to renovate due to updated building codes—something to keep in mind when considering the upfront cost of the house.

Yes, architects specialize in both new construction and renovation projects, ensuring that additions blend seamlessly with existing structures while meeting safety standards.

Costs vary depending on project complexity and scope. Architects generally charge a percentage of the total budget or an hourly rate for their services.
