"While they did a great job with the remodel of our previous home, they did a superb job with our new home.  We are very picky and wanted some very custom features like custom made cabinetry, travertine tile, huge outdoor living space, and many other features. Ray Hubbard worked with us for nearly 6 months getting all the finishes just the way we wanted them, and spent endless hours I am sure with all the numbers.
Our beautiful home will be where we retire and we could not be more happy about it.  A few minor mistakes were made along the way, but considering a project of this size it was very understandable.  We informed Ray of the few items we thought were mistakes and he quickly handled the problem and did so to our satisfaction.    I would like to say we would use him again, but he all ready gave us our dream home.  All joking aside, of course we would call on Ray and Legacy if we ever need a great contractor.

Architects questions, answered by experts

While you will always work with a team of professionals at some point during your home build, homeowners with experience can take on some part of the process. Manage the initial brainstorm, brief writeup, and floor layout phase with minimal assistance before contacting a general contractor. And while you can purchase stock blueprints for some home designs, it's always best to speak with professionals when choosing one ideal for your property.

When conducting space planning, building codes and regulations need to be considered. As long as you are taking them into account and discussing them with the architect, you should be able to do your space planning appropriately.

Greek Revival and Federal architecture are quite similar in that they focus on symmetry and a blend of utilitarianism and opulence, but they differ in a few key areas. First, Federal architecture tends to include a brick facade, whereas Greek Revival homes more often have stucco siding, much like you’d find in Mediterranean houses. Greek Revival homes also tend to be a bit more ornate, with columns as decor, and more decorative and formal porticos.

Depending on project scope, complexity, and building size, architectural services for businesses typically cost between $2,000 and $50,000. Fees can be structured as hourly rates, fixed pricing, or a percentage of total construction costs.

Hire an architect at the very beginning of your home-building process. An architect’s training and expertise can guide the process from start to finish to ensure you don’t miss or have to redo any important steps. An architect will also provide valuable input on design, materials, and other details right from the beginning.
