"Sentri Homes provided the most professional flooring service I’ve ever had. The LVP installation turned out absolutely beautiful, and I was amazed at how quickly everything was completed without sacrificing quality. The crew was fast, accurate, and extremely detail-oriented from start to finish. Everything was installed cleanly, precisely, and with real craftsmanship. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and far beyond what I expected. I would absolutely recommend Sentri Homes to anyone needing flooring installed."

"Junior and his team are simply SPECTACULAR. They are professional, honest, prompt, and thorough, and whether you need interior painting, exterior painting, drywall repair, or staining, the quality of their work is far superior to the competition. Junior is a perfectionist who takes great pride in his work, and his work is flawless. He takes the time to do things right. If you have an older house like ours with cracks and sags in the ceilings and walls, he will leave it looking brand new without a single imperfection and with an absolutely smooth surface of paint. He takes extra special care to ensure that there is never a drop of paint where it should not be, and even if the job has required extensive sanding when he is finished your house will be cleaner than when he started. Junior costs more than the competition, but he is well worth it. We learned this the hard way. We initially went with a cheaper painting company (which, by the way, was highly rated). Boy, was this a BIG MISTAKE! The painters did such a poor job mudding our ceilings that they looked as full of imperfections as before; the paint had that horrible popcorn effect; they got paint all over our stained oak interior trim, and they left the interior of the house coated in a layer of dust from paint and plaster. We called in Junior to fix this mess. All we can say is, "Thank God for Junior!" Do yourself a favor. If you care about your beautiful house, or if you want your house to be beautiful, call Junior and Clean Hands Painting now. ***UPDATE*** I recently (11/27/2019) wrote a stellar review of Junior’s professional, honest, prompt, thorough, and highest quality interior painting, exterior painting, drywall repair, and staining. I would like to add to what I said there by describing the quality of his work on a recent job that involved renovating our oak staircase. The sanding involved the use of both a small electrical sander and hand sanding to ensure that every area of the steps – the tread, riser, newel post, inner and outer string, balusters, and fascia – was completely and evenly sanded. He repaired damage to the wood in various areas of the steps making them look new. We decided to have the treads stained red mahogany and the strings, risers, fascia, and balusters painted black. As usual, Junior used extreme care, including taping all areas that needed to be protected when painting the railing and risers so that the newly stained treads did not get paint on them. The combined effect of the staining and painting was spectacular. The stained treads look rich, even-colored, and like new. The oil-based black paint that was expertly applied to all of the other areas of the stairs highlights the beautiful wood grain. Junior did not leave a single paint drop anywhere, and the lines that divide, for example, the treads and risers, are razor sharp. In sum, if you have oak stairs (or any kind of stairs) that you value and want expertly and beautifully refinished, stained, and/or painted, Junior is your man. I would not trust my stairs to anyone else."

"Loay Jabbar provided the information I needed quickly and clearly. I immediately signed up for full coverages for our two homes because of the discounts offered and because of the quality of service that Loay is saying and promising Choice Home Warranty provides to its customers. I have bad experiences with other home warranty companies so I am hoping I found the best company that would deliver the best service."

"I highly recommend Carlos and his crew! They removed not one but two layers of wallpaper. Repaired the walls where needed, removed the chair rail and painted my entire dinning room. It looks stunning! They are fast, efficient, reasonable and do a fantastic job. I’ve already got them scheduled to come back to do another job for us."

Custom Home Builders questions, answered by experts

Functional home building involves structural, electrical, or plumbing systems. These projects require permits, licensed professionals, and strict adherence to King building codes. Unpermitted functional changes create serious resale issues. Cosmetic updates, like interior painting or flooring, do not require permits and proceed year-round regardless of weather. Always check your neighborhood rules, as associations strictly regulate exterior cosmetic changes alongside city structural requirements.

Helpful?

The current property conditions directly dictate your home building approach. In King, rolling terrain and expansive red clay soils require specific foundation types, retaining walls, and strict stormwater management plans. Evaluate existing structures for unpermitted work, as local codes mandate bringing altered systems up to current standards. Check your flood zone status near local rivers, as building in these areas requires special elevation certificates and flood-resistant construction.

Helpful?

High summer humidity in North Carolina demands strict moisture management and continuous air barriers during home building. Winter temperatures drop below freezing, requiring builders to pour concrete carefully and extend footings below the twelve-inch frost depth. You must also account for severe weather. Install proper roof-to-wall connections for high winds and apply ice shields to protect the roof from winter storms. Plan exterior work for spring or fall.

Helpful?

When planning home building, you must account for local zoning rules like minimum setbacks and lot coverage limits. These restrict how far a structure extends toward property lines. We recommend engineering first-floor walls and foundations to handle future second-story loads, following NC building codes. Install electrical and plumbing rough-ins during the initial construction phase. This prevents extensive retrofits and ensures your septic system handles additional bedrooms safely.

Helpful?

Start your home building by addressing water management. King receives heavy rainfall, so prioritize proper grading, gutters, and crawl space encapsulation to prevent moisture damage. Next, inspect the foundation, as local expansive clay soils cause structural movement. You should also verify your HVAC system size handles the extreme summer humidity and winter cold. Finally, review your property permit history and confirm your septic or sewer connection status.
