"Having owned four different houses the past 16 years, this was hands down the best experience with a plumber... ever. We hired WyattWorks to install a laundry sink (the stainless over cabinet kind) which required drilling through the floor to tie-in with supply and drain pipes in our basement. Jeremy performed the work flawlessly and was a true pro: measure and recheck, plan and dry fit, and clean up the work area during and after. The whole process from start to finish was painless!"

"Jesse was very quick in responding to our needs on the house. Fair pricing and communicative. We would definitely look to hire him for future needs. He installed 4 new bathroom faucets, fixed the pipes and helped fix the shower faucet."

"Mike & crew were beyond my expectations! Needing septic repair and trying to find a competent and reasonably priced professional is harder than it should be, until I found MKB Plumbing and Septic. They took the time to listen to me, assess the situation and give me an immediate quote. Work was performed the next day and I couldn't be happier with the results! I would recommend this company for any plumbing or septic problem. Mike, the owner, is knowledgeable, professional and a cut above any other plumbing contractor I've dealt with in the past. Call them!"

"Great service! Nick came out and inspected my issue with poor drainage in my front yard near my front steps. He proposed his plan for a drain to me and gave me a very reasonable quote for the work. I agreed to the work and we called the city to have the yard marked to do the work. The city was slow to respond and Nick stepped in and escalated with the city and got that taken care of. As soon as the yard was marked, Nick was here within a few days and completed the job in 3 hours. Everything was done professionally and we have had no drainage issues at all since he did the work. I would highly recommend Drain My Lawn! Wayne McClellan"

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

DIY plunging or drain cleaning chemicals may help minor clogs, but professional hydro jetting ensures long-term solutions.

The P-trap (or S-trap in older homes) under your shower is designed to prevent sewer gas from coming back up, so you shouldn’t normally experience foul odors coming from your shower drain. If you do, the vent stack that introduces air into your plumbing system may be clogged, or you may have a more severe sewer main blockage. In either case, hire a plumber to fix the issue for you.

Bleach—even diluted bleach—is not always the safest option for cleaning your drains. With a high pH, bleach can be highly corrosive to many types of pipes, especially when used regularly. When mixed with household cleaners and organic waste, it can also create dangerous chemicals. Remember to use proper protective equipment and ventilation when dealing with bleach.

It takes hair about two years to dissolve on its own in the drain without the use of any tool or help. Fortunately, using a drain snake, plunger, or any of the actions mentioned above to dissolve the hair will help get rid of the clog in as little as 15 minutes.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.
