"I was impressed with the quick response I received from Transformers Lawn Care when asking for a quote for leaf removal. They were able to do the job the next day. The job entailed removing leaves and cleaning out the beds from home which sits on .33 acres. They did an immaculate job and we were thrilled with the quality of work that was done. I was even sent BEFORE and AFTER pictures of their work. Well done! We will definitely use them again.."

Small jobs welcome

"Fantastic work by a family business. Very responsive and great communication. They take great pride in their work and do not cut corners. Very hard working team and the owner leads the team. They removed a trailer full of old mulch and replaced it with river rock and it looks amazing. I would highly recommend Carlos and his company."

"Andrew and PGL were fantastic! They installed a large travertine patio in my backyard, with a built in BBQ in December. His crew was the same people everyday, and did a marvelous job. I highly recommend this company. Andrew was a pleasure to do business with as well. Thank you!"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

If lead is detected in a property, steps should include arranging for professional removal or containment, notifying all occupants, and implementing interim safety measures to reduce exposure.

Unfortunately, lead dust does not look different from any other type of dust. You cannot detect it with the naked eye. To determine if you have lead dust in your home, you will need to hire a local company to take a sample from the paint and test it for you in a lab.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

By using PPE, sealing work areas, and following containment procedures.

Professional lead-paint abatement companies use a variety of methods to remove lead-based paint, depending on each particular situation. Some of the most common methods include:

  • Total removal: $8–$17 per square foot

  • Demolition and replacement: $1,000–$15,000 per project

  • Encapsulation: $4 per square foot

  • Enclosure: $10 per square foot

  • Chemical stripping: $10–$17 per square foot
