"I initially selected West Shore Home to do my window replacement principally because their salesman so much less pushy than the others that I requested estimates from. I am allergic to a hard sell! But their excellent service continued throughout the project. I needed a total of more than 20 windows replaced in a 70-year old home. Quite a job! They scheduled the installation well in advance so that I could plan my schedule. They came exactly on time on the appointed day. Everyone on the crew was cheerful, courteous, and knowledgeable. When it turned out that some of the materials sent from the factory had minor defects, they not only offered to replace all the defective panes but even showed me a couple of defects that I had not noticed. And they returned not once but twice to be sure that everything was perfect before they called the job complete."

"We had our kitchen countertop, sink and faucet replaced. We checked with Home Depot/Lowe's first, but they both wanted all the money upfront when we placed the order. Brotherstone asked for half at the time of order, which we found more reasonable. Marlene at Brotherstone gave us an estimate based on our measurements; however when her professional came out and measured it turned out to be several hundred dollars more. That was not too surprising since he did a much more thorough job measuring than we did. The countertop only took a couple of weeks from ordering to installation, although we got lucky because another customer had to delay theirs and we were slotted in their spot. Marlene ordered the sink for us; we bought the faucet and she recommended a plumber to install the faucet the next business day (he was very competent and came just when he said he would). Brotherstone's installers had several challenges with our countertop because the cabinets were not level, and the existing decorative tile they were fitting the backsplash around was not level either. They worked through the issues and the end result is beautiful. (Home Depot indicated they would not install unless the cabinet surface was level, and that it was our responsibility to make sure it was.) Brotherstone's did tell us they had to wear their work boots inside, so we had put down construction paper ahead of time. They cleaned up the kitchen very thoroughly when they were done and we only found a bit of quartz dust on the driveway, which was not a big deal. We were glad we went with a local company and we were very pleased with the experience."
