Specializing in installations of Water Heaters, Tankless Water Heater, Water Softeners, Toilets, Faucets, Sinks, Disposals, Gas and Electric appliances, run gas lines and many other Plumbing needs.

"It went well - the radiant heat flooring system was new to them, and they followed it through until it was complete and correct. They did all the usual plumbing and fixture installation, but the new build was lower than the city sewer tie-in, so they had to install a pump as well. There were other oddities specific to the new property that had to be addressed, and Floyd even helped me with a few non-plumbing projects. So grateful for his kindness, knowledge, and extra effort!!"

"Sutton Brothers plumbing is possibly the worst team we've worked with. They were expensive, performed poor work, and never accepted their mistakes. We regret paying them."

"Job went very well. Plumber was right on time when he quoted the job. The quote came in substantially lower than another provider's. Mitch also recommended three other repairs as he looked under the house but no over the top sales tactics and the price for those was reasonable as well. He showed up on time to do the work and finished promptly and left no mess. He followed up after the inspector came and then squeezed in the final hookup once we got final approval. Office staff was also very professional, courteous and responsive I have no complaints and will use Go Green again."

Gas Leak Repair questions, answered by experts

Renovation projects that require moving a gas-powered appliance may also require moving the gas line that supplies it. The cost to move a gas line falls between $375 and $750 and will depend on how far the line needs to be moved, the cost of the permits, and how much excavation is needed, along with other factors.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.

Most gas companies and utilities brokers will send a technician to relight a pilot light, but this may demand a service call fee. Contact your local gas company to inquire about available pilot light services. If it’s a no-go, just follow the aforementioned steps and light the manual boiler’s pilot light yourself.

In some cases, the answer is yes. Being licensed to work on gas lines requires additional specialized training beyond being a licensed plumber. If the plumber is also licensed as a natural gas plumber, they will be able work on natural gas lines. If the plumber is only licensed to work on water and sewer lines, then you’ll have to find another professional to do gas line work.

Consider an annual inspection conducted by a local plumber to prevent dangerous and destructive leaks. If you recently moved into an older home or are concerned about the age of your gas lines, call an inspector for a closer look. You may also be required to call an inspector after your contractor installs a new line for an appliance.
