"Roofing repairs, chimney removal and vent stack boots replaced by Joe at Peak Roofing & Construction, LLC. Joe was fantastic! Found him on Angi's List. He came over that afternoon to see the job and provide an estimate. He was able to begin work immediately however, we opted for the following morning. "Excellent. My neighbor had used Troy Fitch (Cornerstone) for his roof and HIGHLY recommended him. I contracted with him to replace my roof, clean the gutters (and make some small repairs), power wash my house and refinish my deck. EVERYTHING was done extremely well and in a prompt time frame. His employees were great, and the communication between the owner (Troy) and the homeowner (me!) went very well.

I was definitely impressed with their professionalism and quality, and their prices were very competitive (not the lowest, but competitive - WELL worth it!) I would DEFINITELY hire them again (and will, to powerwash my house every year and restain the deck every few years).

Stripping existing shingles and installing a new shingle roof takes a professional one to two days, and sometimes up to three days for larger roofs. Additional safety measures necessary for steep roofs can extend the timeframe even further, as do added measures, like replacing roof decking or reinforcing your roof structure to support heavier materials like slate or clay.

Generally, the term “rolled roofing” refers to MSR (mineral surface roll) roofing. This type of roofing is similar to asphalt shingles but comes in a roll that’s unraveled and installed over your roof deck. There are many types of rolled roofing, including TPO, EPDM, and modified bitumen roofing (aka torch down roofing).

Without these strategic gaps, your home’s exterior and its finishes can sustain water damage, decay, peel, delaminate, and crack. However, there is a fine line between a smart gap and a problematic gap—all  gaps should be small, intentional, and covered or filled in with foam insulation to prevent pests from using them as access points.
