  My project was a complete renovation of my front yard. The project scope included grading, removal of dirt/debris, importing 24 cubic yards of topsoil, spreading/compacting of topsoil and digging post holes. Of the 4 businesses that responded to my posting, Grey Land Specialist was the first to reach out to me and the only one to provide a formal quote by email. My assessment of Grey during his first call and subsequent visit was that he was articulate, professional, and a good listener with a kind of quiet confidence that put me at ease. Once we were in agreement on the particulars of my project, Grey began working within a week’s time. The agreement he provided was straightforward and easily completed via DocuSign. Grey is definitely experienced with a Bobcat and operated it with great poise (no nicks to the house, nor our cherished trees). He did a great job spreading the topsoil EVENLY across the yard, taking care to fill in depressions. Grey completed the job within the timeline promised with no additional/hidden costs incurred. My wife and I have had several BIG home improvement projects over the past 10 years, but of them all, I can honestly say our project with Grey was the only one that actually exceeded our expectations and finished on time.   Fred and his team were AMAZING! I contacted FIVE junk hauler companies in the Durham area, and Out of Your Hands was the only one who even responded. I had some old junk sitting 30 years outside of my workshop that I wanted to have removed. I sent him some pictures, and two days later they removed it all! They were so personable and super sweet guys! They went way beyond what I expected, even removing some old things buried in the dirt for the last 3 decades that I didn't even know were there! I highly recommend Out of Your Hands and will be calling them again in the near future with some more decluttering I need to doshow more

  The company was very responsive to an estimate request and provided a competitive estimate. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did an excellent job removing several large trees that required the use of a crane. All of the workers were very professional and courteous and carefully worked to minimize any yard damage. They cleaned the yard afterwards by raking and blowing.   Phase one of our ongoing landscaping of our back yard and installation of a water feature was excellent! We loved working with John, Samantha, Samuel and the whole crew! Gardens of the Carolinas staff were all very professional and the quality of the work was top notch! They were always very responsive and I never lacked for communication during the project. I have to commend their workmen especially for their daily cleanup of the work site - leaving things neat even when they were due back the following morning. Not every contractor I have worked with showed such pride and conscientiousness, and this was very much appreciated. My wife and I are loving our back yard and looking forward to doing more landscaping over the coming years! I'd gladly hire them again, and recommend them without hesitation!   Big Al's removed large water heater from small attic. Obstacles were overcome with enginuity, and sweat! In 50+ years of house ownership, this was one of the best experiences in home improvement. Makes me wish I had more junk to get rid of. Five stars for sure!!

  We had a wonderful experience with Garden of the Carolinas. We wanted a complete overhaul of our backyard with pool, patio, walkways, pavilion, decking, fencing, privacy, plantings, lighting, etc. We very much enjoyed the design process with Diana and could not be happier with the plan she came up with. John and his team were always quick to respond throughout the design and construction process, very willing to make adjustments (increased patio, added plantings in buffer, side yard and front yard, re-worked drainage swale outside fence, etc.) and brought the plan to life in a well-executed and timely fashion. The crew was professional, hardworking and took great care accessing the site through the common area of our subdivision. We are very happy with how everything came together and look forward to enjoying our beautiful new space! I highly recommend Gardens of the Carolinas and will use them again for my future landscaping needsshow more
