"Patterson construction has completed 3 major projects in my Corolla NC house. Rex and his staff are professional, responsive to questions, sends photos as work progresses , and often has creative suggestions to enhance the projects. One difficult project was undertaken to prevent flooding on ground floor after severe storms. The creative solution was to raise the lower level floor height with 6 inches of concrete. Then new tile floor was added, ceiling ductwork moved to comply with code, and exterior door replaced. Doors were retro fitted, mechanics moved, and powder bath remodeled to fit change in floor. This action solved the problem of repeated water intrusion in the house. We are very pleased with Patterson Construction."

"This husband and wife team is first rate. We had a banking issue at the start of our project. They could have easily said it wasn't their responsibility to help me retrieve the money, but they didn't. They created a loyal customer as a result. And the work quality was second to none. I got quotes from two other providers but theirs was the best in terms of scope definition and price. The only thing I would like to see is more responsive comms, but I also understand how hard it is to balance "front office" work with the project work for a small business. And David works 7 days a week. If he makes a project commitment, he keeps it. They are delightful people who I am looking forward to working with again."

"When I decided to move ahead on a much needed roof removal and replacement, it was very hard to get anyone to respond. However, Michael was very quick to answer my call and get a quote. Eventually I was able to get quotes from 3 different contractors and they were all within $200 for each other, which I find amazing given it was a sizeable job. In the end I did not select American, only because they did not carry workers comp at the time. I understand they have since picked up workers comp. I do most home projects on my own but can't do it all on my own. I will certainly contact Michael for anything in the future I decide to hire out."

"I had two trees fall on my detached garage and destroy it. They demolished what was left. The items that could be saved were stored in a POD until it could be rebuilt. They did an amazing job rebuilding it. It looks better than it ever did. Also they helped me deal with the insurance company which saved me a major headache. "I would highly recommend this business.  We had them come and restain the deck and at first just powerwash the house.  They scheduled the work right away.  After doing the pressure washing, there were some areas with paint chips under the soffit.  Mike offered to repaint those for free.  During this, they noticed areas of the soffit that were rotten, so we had them repair those areas of the wood.  They also fixed a few screens that were damaged during the pressure washing for free.  
Everything turned out great, and we are very happy we had this work done.  Mike and Crystal are very professional and easy to work with.  I will be having them do some more work on our house in the near future.
