Customers say: True professional

"Outstanding job, great customer service, great quality of work, great work ethic. It is so nice to have a contractor who does what they say they are going to do and shows up when they say they are going to show up. Phelps Construction removed and rebuilt my garage and they did an outstanding job. I highly recommend this company."

"Riply Construction was an excellent fit for my older ranch style remodel. Lenny Lyon and his teams of contractors were always on time, considerate of my property and did quality work. Mr Lyon provided several options and ideas for us to consider for the job - with accurate estimates as to cost and availability of materials. Once the scope of work was decided and approved; a convenient and continuous schedule of work was established and adhered to. Mr. Lyon was on top of all subcontractor activity throughout the project with daily visits and followup calls/texts with me. He always kept me informed of progress and immediately answered any questions I had concerning the work schedule or options. I highly recommend Riply Construction for your home remodel needs!"

"They remodeled my kitchen. I now have my dream kitchen! They put lip flooring down and it looks amazing. They also built an office by my front door. I had the whole house painted and there are lots of crisp lines."

"they were the only contractors willing to repair the extensive termite damage in my home. Kept up to date with me on absolutely everything and included me even though I live in CA. They also worked with my tenant to make sure they were in the know with everything going on. Ultimately they did an incredible job and I would recommend them for any job you need them for! My house was in a bad state and now it looks amazing!"

Unfinished Carpentry questions, answered by experts

Duration varies by project size, but average-sized homes typically take a weeks.

It’s sometimes safe to replace a load-bearing wall with a beam, but you need a structural engineer to sign off on the project. You’ll also likely have to upgrade to a steel I-beam or another material that’s stronger than wood to maintain the level of support you need without the wall underneath.

Framing a house with steel generally takes less time—around five to eight weeks—than most building materials. The steel components can also be made quickly off-site and manufactured with pre-punched holes for running piping and electrical wiring, which will lessen the prep work and extra labor during construction.

Most load-bearing walls are exterior, though they can also be interior.

Framing most homes takes anywhere between five and eight weeks to complete. You’ll need to account for inclement weather conditions, material shipment times, the number of crew members, and the weight of your materials. If the weather is too hot, wet, or cold for the installation, this process could take closer to eight weeks.
