"Maynor has taken care of our HVAC needs for years and we are very happy with them. When our unit was in need of replacement Mike Langdon thoroughly evaluated our upstairs space to assess the type of HVAC unit we would need. They were able to install it the next day. Installers Devan and Beiri were professional, kind, prompt and efficient and kept us updated throughout the installation. Our experience with Maynor has always been 5 stars."

"Vendor install a Honeywell 7200 series thermostat in my new home, but I decided to upgrade to a 6580 WiFi unit. I did all the work myself but couldn't get the A/C to work. I called Honey well who referrred me to Enhanced Heating and A/C. I called them at 3:45 PM on a Friday afternoon and got a live person who said someone will call me back after I presented the problem I had. Around 4 PM I got a call from Sean who helped me out with the wiring and the A/C is now working."

"I called Jonathan at lunch time, and he was at the house by 5:30 PM the same day. When he left, the system not only worked again, but it cooled much better than before. He quoted prices before performing work, took the time to explain what he was doing and why he recommended it, and did not try to sell expensive, unnecessary services. I will definitely call him the next time our system needs service."

"I am extremely impressed with this business; from the beginning estimate to the installation, this business exceeds customer satisfaction! I had requested a quote online. The next day I received an email estimate for my request at the time, to replace the very old air handler as the condenser was just three years old. The next day I got a follow-up email asking if I had received my quote. I emailed back that yes, I received it, and I would get back to them as I was getting a few other estimates for comparison. Weeks later I requested an estimate from E&J for the condensor as well as the air handler. I had called other companies and was I impressed with Eric's estimate as it was competitive and fair, also lower than other well known companies in my area. Eric was very nice about me asking for proof of license and insurance and emailed the documents to me the same day. He was also willing to rewrite the estimate twice as I wanted to be sure it was detailed and nothing was left out. He came over and measured to be sure we were replacing with the correct size unit, and Jennifer called me soon after about financing. She was able to get me set up with the financing company the next day, which is a fairly low interest rate at 6.4% and they have options for 5 yr, 7 yr, 10 yr payment plans with no early payoff penalties. Eric was ble to put me on his schedule for the following Wednesday, just five days after signing with the finance company. Also, the finance company does not pay the contractor until I sign off that the work was completed to my satisfaction. Eric's crew took pictures of everything (as my air handler is in the attic above the garage), took out the old unit, installed the new unit as well as replaced the fuse (was the wrong size for system), replaced the drain pan and drain line, installed two float/cutoff switches, replaced some pipe insulation, new pad for condensor, cleaned everything up and installed my Honeywell programmable thermostat. Eric and his crew were extremely helpful and professional. They truly care about their customers and give excellent service. This has been the best experience that I've had with any contractor in my 10 years of home ownership. Before leaving after installation, Eric made sure he answered all my questions and ensured I understood everything. He even told me in about a week the unit will be inspected by a third party to ensure the system is up to code, and he will send me a copy of the permit. Eric will register the unit for the manufacturer warranty, and he offers a two year labor warranty as well as a two year maintenance warranty. This company went above and beyond, they even picked limbs up out of my back yard, and that had nothing to do with the a.c. install!"

"The initial install went well.
Since the install we've had to call the provider out to our home twice.
1st time we call the provider to let them know that we had an energy assessment done, provider was very upset that in the report there were several items that needed to be addressed.  I informed the provider that I gave the energy assessment details to him not to contact the energy auditor but as a guide to assist Yellow Dot to make the corrective measures on the items listed.
The day of to perform the corrective measures......things didn't go so well.
The worker showed up at our house, then was called to another job.  When I called my contact at Yellow Dot, I was told that he was working too slow, and that they would have someone else come out the following morning to finish the work.  OK........
The following day the next worker showed up, and i greeted him to let him know that my hisband was there to go to the house when he was ready.  He stated that he was trying to figure out what needed to be done since he was provided no direction by Yellow Dot, but he has the energy audit in his hand.  I called my contact to let him know, and my contact stated that he was at the vet with his dog, and that he would be to the house after he was done at the Vet.  OK.........  When my contact showed up, he and his worked left.  Just left, didn't tell my husband why they were leaving without completely the work.
I called my contact, no answer, called the office, and they said that I would need to wait till he responded since he was out of the office for the rest of the day.  I asked to speak to the GM.  Relayed what had been going on the the GM, and let the GM know that we were not happy, and that they needed to complete the work today, since this is the 2nd day and if that wasn't convienent for anyone that we would be home all weekend, to let me know what time they would be by.  I received a call about 30 minutes later letting me know that someone would be by the house to complete the work that day.
2nd time:
Having insullation installed in our attic, crawl spaces, and eves.  Insulation provider noticed that there were some leaks in the transfer unit to the HVAC and duct work to the transfer unit is pulling away, creating gaps, letting cool/heat escape into the attic.
Called Yellow Dot to schedule an appointment, giving them 1 week to get us on the schedule, and secured an appointment for 7/13 @8:30am.  Received a call on 7/10 requesting that they move my appointment to 7/14 after 3:30pm, since they had customers with more pressing AC issues.  Explained to them that I had my insulation provider scheduled to come Wednesday at 7am to finish work that had already started, and we were waiting on Yellow Dot to complete the work.  Reluctently reschedule to 7/14 after 3:30pm.  TBC......
7/15/15:  So Yellow Dot didn't show when they were scheduled on 7/14/15 @ 3:30pm.  I received a call at 5:05pm 7/14 to let me know that they would need to reschedule since their people were not free to perform the work.  I spoke to the manager yesterday evening, and said that i had booked this appoint about 2 weeks out so I wouldn't have these issues with no shows or work not being performed.  He agreed, and sent someone this morning to finish the work at 7am.  With a small child and company over, not really what i wanted but worked need to be complete so I can have the other vendor for insulation compete his job.

Overall: Yellow Dot, being rated A for workmanship and customer service needs to be down-graded to a D-C level.  I didn't feel that we were important to the company even though we had spent 20k on work in November 2014.

"Great communication and ease of scheduling.  They showed up on time and answered all my questions regarding some issues that we were having with a new ceiling light.  They were also helpful advising me in some other wiring issues that I will be addressing in the future as well.  I have used them in the past for other small jobs and plan to use them to install sconces soon.
My sense is that they are honest with their work and did not try to sell me extra products, services, etc.  They did present maintenance options.  However it wasn't pushy or fear based.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The cost to install a steam boiler varies depending on the type, fuel used, and your house size. The average cost to install a boiler is $5,900. You could spend $2,000 for a basic electrical steam boiler or up to $9,000 for a high-efficiency oil-burning steam boiler. Boiler installation is a job that’s best left for professionals to complete, and, in some states, only licensed installers can legally complete the job.

Installing a boiler requires training, a specific skill set, and extensive experience. Boiler installation can be extremely dangerous, as it involves working with water lines, gas lines, and electricity. For this reason, it’s strongly recommended that you hire a professional to install your boiler. Some states even consider it illegal to work on a boiler without the proper licensing.

Yes, most municipalities require a permit for propane boiler installation to ensure safety and code compliance. Permit fees vary by location and are often included in your installer’s quote, as they’ll handle the permitting process. Ensure that you always check local regulations before starting your project to avoid fines or delays.

Yes. Boilers need water to run without overheating, also known as dry firing. If you run it without a sufficient volume of water, either because of a burst pipe or a leak, you run the risk of damaging your machine or jeopardizing the safety of your home as a whole. When in doubt, shut off your boiler and repair any plumbing issues before turning it back on. Alternatively, consider installing a low-water cutoff (LWCO) before any issues arise. This gadget will protect your boiler by monitoring water levels and automatically shutting it off if it gets too low.

A furnace is a big unit where gas, heating oil, or electricity heats the air. The warmed air is then pushed back out through ducts and vents.

A boiler uses electricity, heating oil, or gas to heat water that is pushed into the room through a radiator. This is one of the oldest and most effective ways to heat a house, but radiators can also be unsightly and leave hot and cold spots in the room.

Heat pumps use a refrigerant to move heat from outside into the house and return it to the room through ducts and vents.
