"Elite Tile has done two projects for us over they last several years. A master bathroom and now our second level bathroom. Though done by two different installers the quality and service were the same. They were more than willing to see our vision, design, pattern and tile selection through to a completed project. Very pleased with their determination and timely execution. Thank you Elite Tile."

"My installer, Jose, was amazing! He was so accommodating to fit my schedule in a short timeframe. Jose was professional and very knowledgeable about installing tile. He installed my tile quickly and was very clean while working. I would definitely recommend Jose for tile work. Jose is also a great handyman because he also installed my TV on the wall which was difficult to do because the wall was covered in porcelain tile. THANK YOU, JOSE!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!"

"Kitchen and laundry room tile and grout looks brand new again. Most impressed with the restoration of the 8 ft marble counter top on the vanity in bathroom, I had plans to replace this vanity top which would involve purchasing a new countertop, paying someone to remove the old marble top and install the new counter top and can't forget the additional cost of a plumber to disconnect/reconnect the plumbing. I so glad I found Jason who saved me many dollars and the old marble top looks great."

Customers say: True professional

"I couldn’t be more pleased with the exceptional work done by David Tile Solutions! From start to finish, their professionalism and craftsmanship were top-notch. They installed long floor tiles throughout our space, and despite the challenges posed by the subfloor, they managed to keep everything perfectly level — a true testament to their skill and attention to detail. They also installed tile in our mudroom, which looks fantastic. The team was punctual, worked efficiently, and stayed within our budget. It’s rare to find contractors who not only meet expectations but exceed them, and David Tile Solutions certainly did that. They even made sure to clean up thoroughly before they left, which we really appreciated. If you’re looking for high-quality tile installation, fair pricing, and a hassle-free experience, look no further than David. Highly recommended!"

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

To maintain tile in Chapel Hill’s humid climate, you should reseal grout every one to two years to prevent moisture damage and mildew. Weekly cleaning is important for preventing mold growth. Before winter, inspect exterior tiles for looseness to avoid issues from freeze-thaw cycles. Also, ensure bathroom and kitchen ventilation fans are working properly to manage indoor humidity levels year-round.

Helpful?

In Chapel Hill, signs of failing tile work include cracked or loose tiles, which can result from local freeze-thaw cycles and high humidity. Also, look for discolored grout, hollow-sounding tiles indicating poor adhesion, or a white, chalky residue called efflorescence. These issues are often tied to the area's humid climate and clay soil, signaling that a professional redo is necessary for a lasting solution.

Helpful?

Completing a ceramic tile service project enhances livability in Chapel Hill by improving moisture management and reducing allergens like mold, which thrive in humid conditions. Tile floors also help regulate indoor temperatures during variable seasons. Beyond comfort, a quality tile installation increases home value in the competitive local real estate market and offers a durable, low-maintenance surface ideal for busy households.

Helpful?

For ceramic tile service projects in North Carolina, choose materials that withstand humidity. Porcelain tiles offer superior moisture resistance, and epoxy grout outperforms cement-based options in damp environments. For bathrooms and basements, a waterproof membrane is essential. For any exterior tile work, be sure to select frost-resistant tiles to handle the occasional freezing temperatures experienced throughout the state, ensuring long-term durability.

Helpful?

A common mistake during ceramic tile service projects in Chapel Hill is failing to account for high humidity with sufficient moisture protection. Other errors include inadequate subfloor preparation to address the area's clay soil movement and using the wrong adhesive. Forgetting to properly seal grout is another critical oversight that can lead to moisture damage and deterioration in this specific climate.
