"Oscar put in a ceiling box light in my guest bathroom over my tub/ shower, when the shower curtain was closed before, there was much light inside, curtain was blocking light's from my vanity...but now Oscar fixed that for me, I have a bright LED light overhead of my tub/ shower! I am very thrilled to have this and Oscar and his helper did a great job, very professional, friendly, reasonably priced and cleaned up inside the tub and surroundings of any debri that came from their working. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Oscar Aviles Electric LLC for any electrical jobs, I have already discussed with him about doing another small job next week, putting in a LED light in the ceiling of my pantry. And in the future I will have him to come back again to put in more box ceiling lights in my kitchen ceiling to replace a ceiling fixture. I have uploaded a picture from his work today! Thank You and your helper Oscar!! Sharon Carroll Archdale, N.C."

"I needed a professional check and repair any electrical wiring issue in my laundry room and kitchen area. The problem was there was a leak in the roof on the wall where the panel is. I have had the roof replaced and now my dishwasher and cooktop was not working. The appliances are fairly new, (so) I flipped the breaker and that not work. I needed to make sure the wiring was ok before moving forward foe safety. There was a problem in the wiring and he had to get creative to get to repair the problem. The cost of fixing it was reasonable and I am very pleased with the tasks completed."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

For electrical projects in Asheboro, use NM-B cable for indoor electrical wiring and THWN-2 wire for outdoor or damp locations, as these materials handle local humidity well. Install GFCI outlets in kitchens, bathrooms, and garages, and choose weather-resistant receptacles for exterior use. Adding whole-home surge protection is wise due to frequent summer storms, and always select materials rated for Asheboro’s climate and code requirements.

Helpful?

In Asheboro, be wary if an electrician avoids providing a written estimate or clear project breakdown. Watch for unusually low bids, which may signal shortcuts or subpar electrical wiring. If a professional downplays the need for permits or inspections, that’s a concern. Reliable electricians in Asheboro will discuss code compliance, communicate timelines, and answer your questions about circuit upgrades or safety measures without hesitation.

Helpful?

Electrical systems in Asheboro benefit from regular checks, especially before storm season. Test GFCI and AFCI outlets monthly, and inspect outdoor electrical wiring and fixtures yearly for signs of wear or corrosion. Have a licensed professional review your main panel and grounding system every few years. Keeping detailed records of upgrades and maintenance helps with insurance claims and supports future home sales in Asheboro.

Helpful?

Yes, combining electrical work with other home upgrades in Asheboro can be efficient. For example, if you’re remodeling a kitchen or adding an HVAC system, it’s smart to update electrical wiring or add dedicated circuits while walls are open. Coordinating projects reduces disruption, streamlines scheduling with contractors, and helps ensure all upgrades meet current electrical code standards for Asheboro homes.

Helpful?

In Asheboro, hidden costs during electrical projects often involve panel upgrades for older homes, unexpected repairs to outdated wiring, or the need for additional grounding. Permit and inspection fees can add up, especially if code updates require re-inspections. Sometimes, opening walls reveals structural issues or pest damage. Fluctuating material prices, especially for copper, and the need for extra circuit upgrades may also affect your project.
