"I recently hired Bullseyefor some electrical work, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From start to finish, the communication was clear, the service was prompt, and the work was top-notch. They handled everything professionally and made sure the job was done safely and efficiently. It's rare to find a company that combines quality work with great customer service, but they nailed both. I’ll definitely be using them again for any future electrical needs and recommending them to friends and family!"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

The best light switch is user dependent. What works for one person might not work for another. Someone looking to ward off burglars may choose to install proximity light switches or anti-vandal switches, while someone who simply wants to find the switch in the bathroom without using a nightlight may prefer an illuminated light switch. Consider the location of your light switch and the features you want to help you decide on the right light switch for your home.

To fix a tripped light switch, locate your home's electrical panel and identify the tripped circuit breaker. It will be in the "off" or neutral position. Flip the breaker entirely to the "off" position, then switch it back to the "on" position. If the breaker trips again immediately, there may be a short circuit or overload in the system, requiring further investigation. If the switch still doesn't work after resetting the breaker, check for loose wires or faulty components in the switch itself. It is always best to consult a licensed electrician for persistent issues and when in doubt.

Yes, you can put a GFCI outlet in almost any electrical outlet location. As long as the outlet is wired correctly back to a circuit breaker, you can likely replace the existing outlet with a GFCI outlet.

Different fences use different amounts of electricity, but their operating costs are very low overall. Electric fences pull between 4 and 25 watts from the system if you have an average-sized yard. Barring any complicated math, you can expect an average electric fence to cost less than $5 a month to run. Aboveground electric fences, which are not typical for residential use or small animals, can cost more, but you shouldn't notice a significant change in your electric bill.

Labor, materials, job complexity, and urgency affect costs for switches and outlets; expect from $150 for simple sets to $600+ for significant upgrades.
