Customers say: True professional

"We highly recommend Premier Hardwood Floors. Ryan Carney is truly a Master Craftsman. He was also very pleasant to work with. I was very hesitant to have my floors refinished because of all of the stories about what a big mess it was due to all of the dust. Ryan assured me that he had the equipment that really reduced the dust from sanding the floors. He was right. We are delighted with our â newâ floors! We would give him more stars than 5 if we could!"

"Kenneth was a pleasure to work with. He came in after another contractor started the job and was able to point out a few blemishes something that another contractor and/or company may have missed such as the uneven sanding, circular sanding and the uneven floor finishes. He stated this was a crucial part of the process as this would have been noticeable once stained was applied and was not noticeable to the naked eye. Only an expert like Kenneth would know. He was very thorough in explaining the process regarding water base and oil base stain. I would definitely recommend him for any flooring needs. My project was a hardwood floor refinish. However, I would definitely trust his expertise regarding any floor finishes. His price quoted was fair and professional."

"A couple of little things weren't done. I'm guessing that's going to be true with any contractor. But when I notified this contractor, he made another trip to take care of everything. I would be happy to hire him again for another project in his area of expertise."

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

Surveys completed by licensed surveyors can be recorded with a local surveying records office, and in most cases, they will be. Filing survey reports categorize them as legal documents, and they can be used whenever legal documentation of your property’s boundaries is needed. While you’re not required to file survey documents, it’s a good idea to do so.

Detailed mapping of elevation changes and natural features on the property.

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.
