Since this is an old house with old pipes, he also had me check the basement room near the window well for any water - just in case. (Fortunately it was dry). "This is a good company to deal with. James, the owner, was out within one hour to diagnose our problem. The next morning the technicians, Brian and Josh were out to take care of our drain issues. Brian made a point of showing me the camera footage of the main drain. The did a great job on the main and two other drains. They also cleaned up very well when they were done. Brian also noticed an issue with our bathtub stopper and fixed it without an extra charge. The pricing was transparent. They have a nice email notice system and called when they were on the way. "It went very well. Jim Hudson came out and explained everything and answered all of my questions.  Their bid was received the next day via email.  The work could be done in one day.  We opted to have it done in 2 half-days to get it done sooner.  The I-beams were delivered the day before work was to begin. The I-beams were installed on the first visit and the tightening of the brackets and sealing was done on the second visit.  They (Jason and Ted) were very professional and answered all my questions.  They cleaned up very well after the work was done. 
We are very happy with the results.  We were experiencing a lot of "scary noises" along that wall and that has decreased substantally.  The bowing is a lot less than it was.  After the first visit I was able to put my fingers between one of the I-beams and the wall in the center part of the wall where the bowing was most prononced. After the second day, I couldn't. They come back every 2 months or so to tighten any brackets that need it. They did say that it could take awhile for the "unbowing" to maximize.
Lien waivers and warranties were provided along with the bid (preliminary copies) and final copies of these documents along with a receipt came in about a week after work was completed via email.

"We had a (finished) basement that was leaking water during heavy rain. I solicited bids from four different companies, all of which proposed to do basically the same thing. Atlas was not only the cheapest, but they also said they could do it without tearing out the drywall or installing a sump pump (they saddled the drain system onto the main sewer line and added a backflow valve -- in the city, the waste and storm sewers are combined). Mike, the owner, was very friendly and James, the team leader, was very professional and helpful. The basement has gone a year -- including through the torrential downpours of December 2015 -- without leaking. There was some persistent leaking around the egress window. They had installed a drain pipe in the bottom of it and tied it into the rest of the perimeter drain system. It has leaked a little bit, and Atlas has come out 4 different times before concluding that the rain is hitting the shoddily-installed window and leaking in. I like knowing how things work, so Mike showed me exactly what was happening and -- despite my initial uncertainty -- I'm convinced it is the window. But since they happily came out repeatedly to check out and test the issue, I'm convinced that they'll honor their 20-year warranty."

"He was a nice man but I don't think he was much of an expert in waterproofing. He was prompt. I think he was a businessman who purchased the business and didn't know what to do. I just needed someone who knew what he was doing. The deal was not a good deal because he was just coming out to do basic inspection, which other companies can do for free. The whole thing was kind of bogus. When he came out, he first mentioned something about drain tiling. I asked him where he was going to put the drain tiles and  he wouldn't even take another look. He came back again and said he didn't realize it was another level. He said he was going to recommend a french drain. Honestly, it was like a doctor who thought the patient wanted something to walk out of the door with and didn't know what to give him so he just wrote a prescription. It just didn't apply. I'm sure he knows what to do in standard, easy to read situations. I wouldn't recommend him. He told me he had another business which he tried to interest me in."

"I had a sump pump installed (fall 2022), along with drainage channels and a moisture barrier in one of corner of my basement. The sump pump has a battery backup system too. Install was done very professionally. They worked with me to finance the project through a 0% loan which was a nice feature. There was an issue in spring of 2023. They came promptly, diagnosed a bad pump and replaced free of charge. Recently the pump alarm kept going off intermittently. Got a repair tech scheduled to come out same week. He found a issue with how the alarm was placed and replaced that part. Both times that I had issues, thetechs were very knowledgeable and informed me further about how the system works. I would highly recommend this company for water issues."
