"We are a GC and have used the Mac Wilson team for years on many commercial projects. They are reliable, knowledgeable, and flexible (as many things change of the fly in this industry). They are absolutely great to work with, we will continue to do business with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a plumber in the area."

"Great service! We've used Reddi for plumbing for years. Just recently called them for an HVAC for the first time, and service was just as good as their wonderful plumbers. The guys who have come over the years are friendly, prompt, professional, and get the job done. The last visit was Matt (for troubleshooting) and Joel (to do a major fix) and they were both great. Helped with our warranty claim and pointed out a few things for us to keep in mind down the road."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

The most likely reason is rust. You can try using lubricant to loosen the metal components, but you’ll most likely need to call in a plumber to professionally sand down the rust without damaging the rest of your bathtub. If the rust is extensive, it might be a sign that you need to replace the plumbing.

How long it takes for a pipe to freeze depends on the outdoor temperature, the level of preventative measures taken, and how long the outdoor temperature stays below freezing. With this in mind, expect most pipes to freeze within six to eight hours. Uninsulated exterior pipes can freeze in under six hours if the temperature is below 20 degrees. It takes at least 12 hours for unprotected pipes to freeze at 32 degrees.

A plumbing emergency is a problem that threatens to severely damage your home or put your family at risk if not addressed immediately. If leaving the issue until regular business hours will cause more damage, it's an emergency. Examples include burst pipes, major leaks, significant drain clogs, a lack of hot water, a suspected gas leak, an out-of-control water heater, or a sewer line backup forcing gases into your home. Many home insurance policies will cover sudden and unexpected plumbing emergencies, provided they are not caused by homeowner negligence.

You can unclog a double kitchen sink by plunging the side with the garbage disposal. Cover the drain hole on the other side first to avoid creating a mess. Plunge up and down until the water starts to drain. You can also pour in baking soda and vinegar to try and dissolve a clog.

Sealant doesn’t need to be applied to the bolts, but it can be a good way to stop an active leak in the moment. However, don’t rely on it as a cure-all; instead, make sure to fix the problem at the source by changing or tightening the bolts.

If you do use sealant, make sure to spread it thickly and evenly across the bolts and the tank's porcelain.
