"Great service! We've used Reddi for plumbing for years. Just recently called them for an HVAC for the first time, and service was just as good as their wonderful plumbers. A bathtub diverter is used when you have a shower-tub combination. The diverter valve allows you to send the water to either your tub faucet or your showerhead. Diverter shower valves cost between $20 and $200. Higher-end brands, such as Moen, might cost more—some models are over $250.

The likely culprit is an air lock somewhere in your pipes. This is especially true if the warm water upstairs is accompanied by a decline in water flow. Other causes of this issue include frozen pipes, leaks, damaged supply lines, and more. There’s a simple DIY fix to try for air locks: Turn the hot water and cold water faucets on for a minute, then turn off the cold water and then the hot water. A common DIY alternative is using baking soda and vinegar, which can help break down the clog but will not actually dissolve the hair. The best and safest method for clearing a hair clog is to remove it manually. You can use a drain snake, a straightened wire hanger with pliers to fish out the clog, or have a plumber use a professional auger for more severe blockages.
