"Overall we are very pleased. The team looked at what was needed and made sure we understood their recommendations and that our questions were answered. The pricing was competitive and scheduling was simple. The installation team was professional, accommodating and neat! We'd use Insulation Pros again and would highly recommend them."

"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Green Improvement Consulting did an in-depth energy analysis of our 100-year-old home and handled all of the follow up work to improve our insulation, seal air leaks, caulk, etc. - the are FANTASTIC. The work was reasonably priced, they took care of the paperwork for rebates from KCP&L and Spire and were a pleasure to work with throughout the process."

"Went great! They sent out 2 installers, and it took about 4 hours. They came within the pre-arranged timeframe, and cleaned up the mess. It took a while to get them there for the install(about a month, maybe a month and a half) but that was expected, due to it being peak season, and explained during the initial consultation. The estimate matched the actual final cost, exactly."

"I took roof inspection deal ..$49 for a roof inspection by an inspector with $100 repair credit due to extreme weather, Resealing around pipe collars, exhaust fans, vents, and chimney flashings, Nailing down any loose shinglesChecking for interior leaks, Summary report with areas of concern (includes photos of areas needing repair),Professional recommendations and action plan (if necessary) . Roofer was supposed to come at 5PM, he went there at 4.25 Pm. He talked to my wife and asked whats the problem of roof and what we needed with roof. Its inspection so they should do the inspection and do as they advertised. Talked to him on phone and told him about a shingle on the backyard and told him where its gone from. He said thats the decoratve part of shingle and nothing to worry about. I asked him if he should fix it. He said no need to do it. It will damage roof more. I asked him if he is going on roof to check it. He said no need, its new roof installed in 2011 and going on roof could damage something. I don't know if that's true. Since I had seen that shingle on the ground due to recent strong winds I wanted them to check if any loose shingles and fix it. I think I wasted money by buying this deal."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?

If improperly installed, an egress window can compromise your foundation’s structural integrity, so it’s important to work with a pro to ensure your foundation remains in good shape. Any money you may save on a DIY egress window installation may cost you in the long run if your foundation is damaged in the process.

When you need new windows depends on a variety of factors, including the age of your windows, the age of your home, and the climate you live in. If you’re dealing with budget constraints, you don’t need to replace all your windows simultaneously.

When buying new windows, you should consider energy efficiency, safety, and aesthetics to choose the right window for you.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.
