"Continental Siding installed siding at our house. The product was high quality and the installers were professional- repaired bad spots on existing siding, cleaned up every day and at end. Siding looks great."
"Many thanks to the project manager for promptly responding to our initial inquiry, providing thorough and clear estimates for the options we wanted to consider, and coordinating the installation in a timely manner. Impressed with the quality of siding installation. The vinyl siding installation was done with precision, and the team was very professional. Highly recommend their services."

"Pro Home Exterior did a great job repairing siding due to a windstorm. The matched existing siding and had the job finished in one day for the exact amount of the estimate. They fully explained the process and offered great customer service. I would hire them again if we need siding repaired."
"Becker Exteriors made my new roof installation very easy, and they worked with my insurance company to handle the roofing claim directly. Highly recommend the work they do."
"They were very efficient. All windows in our rental house were removed and replaced with new windows in one day. All old siding was removed and replaced with vinyl siding on the second day. In two days the entire job was complete. Amazing when it was very cold outside in December. The salesman was awesome. Any time we had a question or problem, we could call him and he always took care of it. They were also very responsive and followed up with any issues. A couple of the windows had moisture issues in the winter months and they came back and checked the seals and fixed them. We have not had any problems since. We would highly recommend them. "
"A company that did it right the first time. 2 wood pillars trim on front porch was replaced. Price was set before job and that is the price I paid. 👍"
"When I found out my chimney siding was Masonite (who the heck knows why someone would use that on the exterior )! I changed the scope to replace the siding on the entire chimney above the roof. Easton declined to do that work. However they were very responsive to my initial request and their price was reasonable. I decided to patch the hole myself and postpone bids to replace the siding on the entire chimney when I save up the money required."
"Besides the siding, we also had the Windows replaced and the roof replaced. And all of it was done in about a week! When you realize that everything had to be pulled off before the new could go on, that seemed really fast for us. They were also able to schedule some bathroom updates, sinks/countertops & a shower stall with seat, to start and finish the same week. Great coordination and quality work."
"Had Bordner (and some others) out to assess our house for work and recommendations. Original stucco had numerous areas of cracking. repair was determined to be ill-advised and not feasible given the extent of cracking and separation. Tom Barker was the sales person. He was prompt, polite, knowledgeable. He responded well to the numerous questions we had concerning options, price, timing, warranty, etc. Contact was through emails and phone calls which worked well. Once final decision to go forward with Bordner was made , we were put on their schedule, Since we were also having cavity insulation done by another party this required coordination between Bordner and Insulation company which Bordner office (Mary Jane) handled and handled very well. Job was then handed over to Matt Scott who was the Bordner project manager and our contact for the project (removal of old stucco, housewrapping, installation of new Hardie siding and window trim, and new window. Work commenced with set up of pump jacks needed for stucco removal. Crew worked efficiiently and quickly and was generally thoughtful in removal process which was messy., Appreciated that Bordner was able to assemble large crew of up to 10.men during stucco removal, wrapping, and siding install, which facilitated job completion in timely manner. Kitchen window replacement had been ordered but not available for install until after siding install was well underway. So work around was needed. Decision was made to replace all window trim (brick mold) - both the rotted and non-rotted. This was done concurrent with siding. Windows sills were replaced as needed.. Four window sills were missed or not identified by siding installers which caused issues when it came time to paint. (hardie primed planks were installed which would be finish painted when weather warmed in the spring). A few storm windows were damgaed in various stages of project but were eventually repaired and rehung. Larry McCoy was exceptional in his support of the project - with hanging storm windows, touch up painting, and whatever was needed to complete the job and keep the customer happy. "
Wood siding requires that air can circulate behind it and that water can drain away if necessary. Your home needs a water-restrictive barrier underneath furring strips to achieve the air and water gap.
Hardie board is more expensive than vinyl siding. Vinyl siding costs $3 to $12 per square foot, on average, with cost skewing toward the lower end of that range. Hardie board siding costs $7 to $18 per square foot, depending on the style, color, and trim. However, it lasts twice as long and often looks nicer, meaning you’ll see a higher bump in your home value and greater curb appeal from Hardie board.
Clapboard siding is traditionally made of wood, and is one of the most common types of wood siding in North America. When people talk about wood siding, they are usually talking about clapboard siding. However, not all wood siding is in the clapboard style: It can be tongue-and-groove, shake, and other designs. Also, clapboard siding can sometimes be made of different materials, like vinyl or fiber cement, so the terms are not interchangeable.
Stucco is considered a type of cladding because it includes a built-in ventilation layer, a weatherproof membrane beneath that, and, often, a layer of insulation to improve building efficiency. The multiple layers of stucco—the scratch coat, the brown coat, and the finish coat—also create a more complex building membrane, so it’s more accurate to call it cladding. However, homeowners and contractors alike refer to stucco as siding.
Little maintenance is required beyond periodic washing with a garden hose to remove dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or pressure washers that might damage the siding.
