Customers say: Quick response

"Christopher was super responsive, professional and courteous! I'd give him 10 stats if possible! We moved into our house last fall and I don't think the gutters had been touched in quite awhile. Mr. Mix ran into some tough downspout but kept at it until they ran clear. Superb work ethic and a great value for the money! I would recommend him to anyone who needed this service!"

Small jobs welcome

"I hired them to remove a hanging tree branch tangled in power lines and while they were there to get the debris pile out of my yard. They had a low bid and they were able to get to me the same day! They told me they also do landscaping. I’ll probably be hiring them again in the future. Oh, and they didn’t just get the debris pile, they raked all the sticks up from the whole yard!"

"Jose and his crew are extremely nice and professional. Very fun to work with and be around. Excellent with my little kids and big dogs. I felt very comfortable with them being at my home and interacting with my family. Jose has performed 3 whole roof replacements, whole home siding installation, 3 complete gutter systems, exterior painting, and window replacement for me, Jose personally help navigate the insurance claim waters with me step by step. His knowledge of the insurance claim process is very impressive as he was able to alleviate the pain of dealing directly with the insurance company. I have recommended him to everyone who needs his services. He and his crew did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it, on time and professionally. 10/10 across the board."

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

There are two ways sandblasting could be dangerous: improper use of the equipment so that the stream touches your skin, and air particles created during the sandblasting process. While the first is easier to avoid and fairly obvious, the second has the potential to be more serious and is much more difficult to understand. This is why you should always hire a pro to sandblast, as they understand the dangers associated with the process. If proper safety measures are taken, then sandblasting is rarely dangerous.

The best way to sand a deck is by cleaning it, sanding the boards and stairs with 60- or 80-grit sandpaper, and sanding the railings and posts with 80-grit sandpaper. You should sand in the direction of the wood grain to avoid damaging the timber. When sanding your deck, use medium pressure and aim for an even sand. Pressing too hard with a sander can damage decks, as most are softwoods.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.

Sanding and pressure washing serve different purposes in deck maintenance, so one is not necessarily better than the other. Pressure washing is ideal for annual cleaning to remove dirt, grime, mold, and mildew. Sanding is a deeper restoration method used to smooth rough surfaces, remove an old finish, and prepare the wood for a new coat of stain or paint. The ideal process for refinishing a deck is to first clean it (with a power washer), then sand it, and finally apply the new stain or finish. While cleaning should be done annually, sanding and staining are typically needed only every one to three years.
