"Hired Neli for a virtual repair of our Whirlpool washer. Tom was VERY knowledgeable, friendly and professional. We came up with a solid diagnosis of my issue and the replacement parts required. Tom advised me to consider the value of repairing, parts costs and time required, vs. a new purchase and the effort to repair was not going to be simple. We chatted about the pros/cons a lot. "I wish I could give Innovative Basement Authority a negative rating. Run away from this company as fast as you can. Beware- they are changing their name to Ground Works. Probably because of all the negative reviews. We paid a substantial amount of money to install one of their basement systems after having water problems. The initial sales guy was a very high-pressure seller, trying to get us to sign a contract the same day he came out. Fast forward a year. They told us they needed to come out for an inspection. The sales guy ?found? $40,000 work of additional work that was ?urgent?. He used scare-tactics and tried to convince us we needed to sign on the dotted line immediately. Because of course mold is going to make my family sick. It seemed sketchy to me, but I was able to get the guy to leave without us signing that day. I immediately called our trusted home inspector, and he said the sales guy was trying to sell us things we did not need. He also said he had talked to others"

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day.
