"PRO's 1) Returned my call same day as inquiry. 2) Visited my property next day. 3) Called me from my property with quote. 4) Roof was installed two days later. 5) Was willing to take over when another roofing contractor left us high-and-dry. CON's 1) I have to dig deep for a con. The price for labor was higher than we had anticipated, but we needed the roof installed before the first snowstorm hit. Though cedar shakes often get confused with shingles, there are a few key differences between wood shakes and wood shingles. There’s no single best roofing material for flat roofs, but EPDM is considered an excellent option because it lasts longer than TPO roofing and built-up roofing, and it’s the most adaptive to extreme temperatures and variations in temperature. EPDM can also be highly energy-efficient at both ends of the climate spectrum, with black EPDM helping to reduce heating bills and white EPDM helping to keep your building cool in extreme summer temperatures.

In most cases and locations, roofs with a single layer of asphalt roofing shingles won't require roof removal before installing a metal roof. However, underlayment may be necessary on roofs with moderate shingle damage.
