"Mitch, Cody, and their entire team were fantastic to work with. Here are the five reason why CoMitted 365 Roofing earned an A rating from me: Professional: Mitch was on time, responsive, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process from the initial call to the final inspection. Commitment: We asked tons of questions, called frequently, and requested a lot of samples. We were always treated respectfully and our questions were addressed promptly. Speed: Cody and the roofing crew completed our entire roof in one day. From tearing off the old shingles to picking up all the small pieces of material around the house. Quality: Our new roof looks amazing and the attention to detail from the entire crew was excellent. Products: CoMitted 365 has access to high quality roofing materials that are only available for proven contractors. We received a 50 year materials warranty on our roof!"

"Millers roofing was very good from the salesman, to the workers, I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. The only comment I would make was the person who was supposed to give me a bid for gutters, called once, but never showed up. never heard from him again. i inspected the roof during, and after the work, and I was very happy with the workers, they finished in one day!!!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

Yes, you have to get on the roof to cut a hole for solar tubing. It's not possible to complete the job from inside your house by simply cutting through the ceiling. So if you want to go the DIY route, remember to use safe ladder practices. If you’re not comfortable climbing on your roof to install solar tubes, hire a pro who has the tools and expertise to do the job safely.

No, you can’t use your home’s square footage. You have to calculate your roof’s square footage, and then you may have to convert your square footage measurement to correspond with how the roofing material is measured. For instance, some roofing is sold in “squares,” which equals the total square footage of the roof divided by 100. Shingles are sold in bundles that may not correspond to the number of squares you need. Metal roofing is sold as sheets, so determine the amount of square feet each panel will cover and then divide the total square footage by the coverage area.

Yes, roof ridge caps are a necessary part of your roof system. Your roof ridge cap is at the peak of your roof, where two slopes of your roof meet. Roof ridge caps seal the seam and help protect your roof from water and debris, and because they’re pre-bent and thicker, they’re more suited to the job than regular roof shingles, which can break when bent.

While there are many benefits to installing a metal roof on your home, there are some downsides, too. Zinc roofs, in particular, are susceptible to corrosion from overly salty air directly near coastal areas. Another potential downside of zinc roofing is that it must be allowed to expand and contract with the weather. This means special attention is necessary to how it's fastened to the home to avoid issues.

Many insurance policies will not cover a roof with two layers of shingles. An additional layer of shingles increases the risk of various kinds of damage, and insurers typically won’t pay claims on a roof with an overlay. Adding a layer of shingles may even jeopardize your insurance coverage entirely, so check your policy to ensure you stay within coverage guidelines.
