"I wish I could give Innovative Basement Authority a negative rating. Run away from this company as fast as you can. Beware- they are changing their name to Ground Works. Probably because of all the negative reviews. We paid a substantial amount of money to install one of their basement systems after having water problems. The initial sales guy was a very high-pressure seller, trying to get us to sign a contract the same day he came out. Fast forward a year. They told us they needed to come out for an inspection. The sales guy ?found? $40,000 work of additional work that was ?urgent?. He used scare-tactics and tried to convince us we needed to sign on the dotted line immediately. Because of course mold is going to make my family sick. It seemed sketchy to me, but I was able to get the guy to leave without us signing that day. I immediately called our trusted home inspector, and he said the sales guy was trying to sell us things we did not need. He also said he had talked to others"

"Finken called to sell RO filters for RO system previously installed. They took payment over the phone and stated the filters were paid in full and drop off of the filters would occur. After drop off, invoices were sent requesting additional payment. When calling to discuss the issue, representatives give excuses as to why the original payment 'didn't go through'. They state there is a training issue, and conveniently the person who processes the invoices is never available. They state they take the credit card information at the time of original phone call and store it in their vault. I've requested they delete my information and stop calling me as I've already paid as they required before delivery. I will look into purchasing these replacements elsewhere as the business practices are questionable and customer service is poor. "

FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. If a malfunctioning water heater causes water damage, your policy may help with cleanup and repairs, but not fixing or replacing the heater itself unless the damage resulted from a covered event.

When replacing an old unit, you might want to switch from a gas water heater to an electric water heater or vice versa. To do this, you will likely need to add infrastructure to the area. For example, you likely don’t have a gas line that served your old electric water heater. You’d have to call a plumber to put in a new gas line. If you’re replacing a gas unit with an electric one, the plumber will need to safely cap the old gas line. You will then need an electrician to add wiring for the new electric unit.

The time it takes to replace a water heater depends on the complexity of the job. Expect your contractor to spend:
