We had him replace siding and all windows, paint outside, a new front door, paint all walls and ceilings inside, replace counter-tops, paint cabinets and trim, remove an interior wall and bar, replace all sinks, add new lighting plus numerous small projects. He checked in daily to make sure the work was getting done properly. We encountered some delays (much of which was out of his control) but he always did everything in his power to make things right. "By the time we started demo-ing our kitchen and entryway, I had been in design mode for over a year. I had a specific vision and Steve worked with me until we got it right. After seeing Steve’s cabinets in a neighbor’s house, I knew I wanted the same quality and workmanship. Steve worked with our budget by redesigning the plans several times which included full kitchen cabinetry, a large island, and an entryway bench. I wanted stained cabinets with strong woodgrain and Steve and his finishing team provided multiple samples until I knew it was exactly what I wanted. "Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."
