[Removed member name] was by far the most rude and demanding potential client I've ever had to deal with. She bought a cleaning on Angie's list and demanded via email that I send two cleaners for a total of three hours of cleaning that had been purchased. She purchased her cleaning without speaking to me and then wanted it done 48 hours later. We are a very small company and there is just no way that I can accommodate this on such short notice. Then she blamed me for having to cancel a party she was having because her house wasn't clean. She rescheduled her party for the following week and requested a cleaning which I was able to accommodate. I sent her a message to confirm and got no response. In the 72 hours leading up to her cleaning appointment, I called her phone number seven times. The first two times I left voicemail messages asking her to confirm with me & the next five times I called her voicemail box was full. I emailed her telling her that if she did not confirm with me that I would need to schedule a different job for that day. I did not hear anything from her until the day of the appointment that she was anticipating, 15 minutes after the cleaners would have been scheduled to be at her home. I was eight months pregnant and I was standing outside of the hospital late for my own appointment letting her yell and scream at me for 15 minutes. Our conversation was going nowhere because she refused to except responsibility and demanded that I find a way to have her house cleaned in the next three hours which was completely unrealistic. I told her that she wasn't the kind of client that I wanted to deal with and that she should call Angie's list and request a refund. I believe that I did everything that was required of me and that I handled this as professionally as possible.Service Provider Response
[Removed member name] was a very pleasant customer to work with. We discussed The details of his home and schedule the cleaning over the phone. We talked about the options of working within a budget versus just coming in and cleaning the house from top to bottom. He explained that the house was brand-new and that they had only lived there for a month or two. I can't remember the exact size of the home but I know that it was very large maybe close to 5000 ft.² and had five bathrooms. I explained to him that if we were to come in and clean the whole place top to bottom that the initial cleaning would take about 30% longer then what would be expected on a biweekly basis. I believe that my estimation was very accurate. A house of that size would have to take at least seven hours to clean biweekly. We could have rushed through the whole house and done a less than thorough job but we pride ourselves in quality work. If he had led me to believe that he wanted a less detailed job done I would've certainly arrange for that. I apologize if I didn't communicate clearly.
