Allen is a nice guy but he is NOT thorough in his work. I am not sure if it was him or his nephew that he hired. He said he was done and I found many many many spots that never had even seen a paint brush. Places like tops of trip boards, edges of base boards, windows, tops of doors, etc. I asked for everything to be sprayed. He only sprayed the doors. Said he had to brush the base and trim boards cuz he would have had to put plastic down. The room he sprayed the doors had overspray on the walls. And i found out after i paid him, he never painted the base boards in the room he used. WTF? I asked him to remove money from the quote since i had to repaint which he agreed to. I even had paper paper down on the floors and walls behind all trim boards to make his job easier. Painting is not rocket science but this job was not to my satisfaction.

Great overall experience. I recommend to anyone looking to have painting work done.

Allen gave me an in person quote for painting in my hallway and a guest room. When he was here he helped me go through all the paint left by the owners to determine if we could use it to save $. He arrived early and completed the work extremely well and very neatly. He went through everything to make sure I was happy. I have already hired him for another job.

I would use his services again

Very sloppy. Painted a guest room/closet/bathroom as well as the ceilings in all three room. Did not patch nail holes. Said he would but did not fix a sheetrock seam until we reminded him that he agreed to do so.. Paint on carpet, Paint on woodwork. Only one coat of paint on one wall in the bathroom. Did not using lighting even when we offered to provide it to him. Room are on the north side of house. Not good lighting in there. Missed an area near the ceiling in the bedroom completely. Told us that areas that looked like they had not been painted were due to something must be on the wall because the paint did not take. I told him I had gotten his name from Home Advisors.. He said he has not worked with them for years. His rating was like 4.65???? Not happy. Had to touch up all around the wall to ceiling as he only brush over the area once. The walls were a light green. We painted a harvest gold. He said the gold would not cover the green. With a gallon of paint for the bedroom and closet and close to a 1/3 or more of the paint left in the can you can see he did not do 2nd coat although I said I would get more if needed. Not happy. Steer clear. Alot of money gone. I am sorry I trusted Home Advisor's review. HIs business card spells the business as one word Sweetland Painting and he says he is from Watertown not St. Bonifacius as noted on Home Advisor's site.

The painter started and finished on time and did a reasonably good job of cleaning up when he completed the job. I was disappointed in the amount of paint splatters I had to scrub off the floors, counter tops, tub and woodwork later that I thought should have been covered with a tarp.

Great person to work with. Is very honest and upfront with costs. Reliable, dependable and on time. Does not over charge. I would use him again.
